Looking For An Airbrush or Rattle Can ARTIST to Help Pant Handi Mutant Vehicle.
One of our campmates is just out of colon surgery and so we've been issued a Hadi-Cap vehicle pass. It's a white VW Bus, but I hate the idea of it looking like a car from the default world having been plopped in the middle of the playa. So we're mutating it, I'm building 6 foot by 9 foot light wood ...

Re: Low Income *and* main ticket registration?
Thanks Papa Bear for helpful info.
I apologise, I did not read the fine print carefully enough. Things are pretty well laid out on the Low Income Ticket page, here:

Re: Low Income *and* main ticket registration?
I have read all the q&a on tickets to see if my question would be answered there. "You may purchase up to four (4) tickets at the $990 price, four (4) at the $1200 price, and up to two (2) tickets at the $425 price. Vehicle passes are limited to one vehicle pass per two tickets." This looks like tie...

Re: Low Income *and* main ticket registration?
the best way i can think of putting it right now is this. life is comprised of shades of grey. not black and white. if my low income ticket gets declined but i haven't registered for a regular ticket sale, I won't have the opportunity to move my diet over to ramen noodles for a few months in the hop...

Re: Low Income ticket--no confirmation email. Anyone else?
I applied yesterday and there's no email confirmation, I think that's normal. You can log onto your burner profile and check status of application, that way you know it's been received.
I just looked again and found it in spam folder, check your spam folder carefully.

Low Income *and* main ticket registration?
I've applied for a low income ticket. I'm trying to figure out if I should also register for regular ticket sales.

I camped with my brother in a 10" travel trailer. He brought along a cold he got from his 6 y/o . I of course got it, I also, for the first time didn't wear any dust mask / hanky at all, all week long. I got over the cold with chinese herbs in 5 days, but i am still snotting out gobs of gunk and cou...

There are things about burningman I'd like to see saved, but seem to slowly get eroded away. In a culture where we are almost grotesquely coddled by safety laws, self reliance is one of the most precious of these things, and it's what makes the event a right of passage for so many people. An opportu...

Both. And a crap load more. To be honest, I've never been able to define it adequately, so I gave up seriously trying. It's one of the qualities of BM I love most. That my mind cannot grasp the entirety of what burning man is, and so my relationship with it includes elements of surrender and faith. ...

This was one of the most amazing constructions I've ever seen on playa. Duane's World? Didn't this come all the way from Vermont? HFS! We found it just after a keyway in the axle went. I sure hope you make it out next year!!!! Do you need volunteers on your crew? I'll give you my pics as soon as I g...

I heard that 14 people visited the med tent in one day following a ride on the slide, early in the week. 14 one day, I'm sure numbers went up as population and general absurdity rose. My favorite part of the Slide was the speed rail mounted at the top at mid thigh height. Amazingly nobody flipped ov...

You keep mentioning music, are you a live musician? Personally, I don't think any live musician should be issued any citation whatsoever. There are so few of you, you're a rare and valued resource. I wonder if the profiling code could be modified to select out live musicians. I saw more leo vehicles...

I think BM moves the site between two locations, and they move it every two years, so they are only using two locations, not a different location every year. I think this process is explained on bm.com somewhere. My personal, unscientific opinion is that the event adds to the dune formation. Even wh...

Hushville: No generators, no amplified sound, leave no trace. I've camped there several times, great people. It's been right next to AEZ for several years, another great community. Gotta say, rows and rows of identical giant RV's is pretty sucky, yet very apropos of the theme American Dream. As BM morphs from a small group of like minded pranksters, artsy fartsy's and cacophonists into a more mainstream microcosm of american culture, it seems to include the american nightmare ...

Hey Kitty, Thanks for the invitation. Mellow sounds nice. I've camped in Hushville before. And in hike-in camping. Looking for a GAY camp to adopt me last minute...
Been going to the playa since 04. This year most of my campmates and my partner are staying home. I'd really like to camp with a big or small gay group. I have: vw camper (sleeps 4), 2000 watt quiet honda generator, a/c for camper, digital projector/screen, ability to help with build/construction. S...
