Re: What happens if you have stewards sale tickets and your camp is a toxic mess?
Doesn't make a difference how many burns you've participated in, those tickets were allocated to the camp. By participating in the camp's allocation in the Steward's sale you essentially made a commitment to the camp. However, if you no longer want a part of that operation, make other ticketing arr...

anyone have experience with the conversion? When I was shopping for a Honda EU2200i last year, I had the same concerns as you about running it on gasoline, and so I bought a pre-converted generator, that runs on exclusively on either propane or natural gas, rather than buying one of the after-marke...

Big truck stop parking lots are good for sleeping along the way. When traveling in my van, I use an app called 'park advisor' It shows truck stops, rest areas, koa, campgrounds, rv sites and walmarts. With reviews by users, it is very helpful. Thank you for the advice and the tip, I've installed th...

Some departments have a system in place. As Ratty says, and as you presumably already know ... Departments already have ways to make sure that the people who are volunteering for the right reasons, and who step up to make BRC work for everyone, can be thanked for their passion, and can come back in...

You'll probably choke on the cost, but this is pretty-much exactly the scenario that the Sundanzer chest fridges and freezers were designed for.

Re: Ashes in Temple
I merely point out that the situation is a bit more complex than AntiM's blanket "You can leave ashes in the Temple", and that you should not seek help or assistance from a Temple Guardian. I sincerely doubt that any Temple Guardian would ever ask to see someone's Permit, or attempt to enforce whate...

Re: Ashes in Temple
You can leave ashes in the Temple. Make sure they're in a combustible container (look on Amazon for bio-degradable urns). I am taking my husband's ashes this year, and his kilt. Hell, a whole skeleton dressed in his gear to hold his paper urn. CREMATED REMAINS (ASHES) Of special note is the topic o...

Allocating tickets for people who volunteer or for other measurable means of participating in the event will be a great shift. Re: Water infrastructure for camp showers
Those tickets are suppose to be assigned to individuals at the time of issue. The camp has to supply names for those tickets. I got two DGS tickets this year both in my name. I will give the physical tickets to someone the leads designate. Yeah, that's my experience, too. The DGS tickets themselves...

Just realize that you can be replaced by a section of steel pipe at the next burn. Oh, Token, you really don't understand the level of scrutiny that Burning Man comes under from Federal and Local authorities these days. Yes, most (but not all) of the perimeter volunteers could probably be replaced ...

Suggestion 1) Could ePlaya add a Volunteer Opportunities forum under the 2019 Event section? I do find it ...

You advised a newbie a while back not to sign up to volunteer too much for the first time out there.
