Travel trailers / camp trailers / etc.
You know I've always resisted RV's and trailers, but I've altered my view now that I have a free place to put a trailer. There are alot of outfitted & gutted "travel trailers" & aerostreams on Craigslist. "Toy haulers" & "Toy trailers" are more rare but even better because the back wall folds down i...

My 2 cents: I think virgins have enough to do without creating their own large shade. Plenty of neighbors make large shade areas, just make a small shade area. For Austin, Texas fly in camping, I was able to fit a small tent & a large tent shell to cover it in a check-in duffle. You can also purchas...

Buying a bike rack on Craigslist is probably cheaper than renting one. Plus cleaning & cleaning fees are a bitch. They will never be happy. I did have to find a cable lock that would go through the bumper & interlock with the other bike locks - but those are usefull once on the playa anyway. The loc...

My placement process pre-playa & on site: 1) Find where my friends are or other things I might want to be near. 2) Pick a 3 block area on the map & see where the sun, north / south is. 3) Get a general plan before getting to the playa that includes how much street frontage and shade according to how...

The ORG wants folks to create ART, . . . charge people to see it by purchasing a ticket, which directly lines the pockets of the Corp, after expenses of course... *Are* tickets specifically a charge to see art? Or is that an extreme simplification? or exaggeration? Would Burning Man exist without l...

Radiohead, plays an un-announced, perhaps improvised show out there. . . . A few months later the band decides to release a soundboard recording as an official live album. The experience is unchanged yet they are making real world dollars off it. . . . . I'm just generally curious to know if this w...

So the issue is the hijacked photos. It's a tad rude on the part of the photographer or Lexus if they knowingly used the photo without permission. We don't really need to defend ourselves against the idea that "Burning Man sold out." because that's people who've never been or are just trash talkin' ...

welcome! I understand the urge to be in an area of people with similar interests & yet in my own selfish way I love the rainbow of people (excuse the pun) that are my neighbors. I love that all the mad max, hippy, gay, raver, hillbilly, hipster, eurotrash, suburbanite mommies, swingers (oh sorry, po...

I don't recall this sort of reaction to "Lisa the Treehugger" ( The Simpsons , Season 12). Look at the bright side: If Heather what's-her-name trashes the event on national TV, great - maybe it'll deter undesirables from going. I wish I cared as little as you do. Unfortunately saying nothing would have been ideal, but talking about it as a party place where a person like Heather Graham m...

To make it clear - The Burning Man art at Coachella is curated/organized by a Burning Man artist. The promoter who is hired by Coachella to bring art has been to Burning Man over a number of years.
