Re: CRUSH THIS

Contrary to some people’s belief, sound camps have always been part of BRC since the beginning. Don’t like them, you don’t like Burning Man. Nonsense. You can dislike any portion of Burning Man you choose, doesn't mean you don't like the whole thing. Portos overflowing with shit have been part of t...

Re: Input on bringing my dude Big Daddy Crawler (a tracked vehicle) next year

Water trucks aren’t even nearly the heaviest vehicles on the playa. They’re only about 48,000 loaded, and that’s if they’re three-axle and not two.
The only issue about getting a DMV license will be how well mutated it is. The tracks aren’t an issue about that.

Just to note, you give the impression you think Burning Man is an absolute free-for-all where people throw fire everywhere with reckless abandon and burn everything.
That’s not at all how it is.

Re: Well I’m going to Honda route

I recommend buying these new, only because resale on them is so high. I sold my 12 year old EU2000 pair for $1400. Then ordered myself a brand new pair for $1800. (I think the price has gone up $100 each since then). I didn’t need to, they still worked fine, but resale is so high I figured why not. ...

Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

Some of the key builders of the plane are friends and even eplayans many of you know and like. People who are super nice, work hard and really bring it to BRC. Real burners who’ve been at it since before most of you ever heard of BRC. People that are as far away from being douchebags as it gets. I s...

Actually just mounting a flamethrower on your car and registering it as an art car is a great idea. That’ll work, you should definitely do that.

Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

Airplanes, boats, trains etc don’t have to hide their “base vehicle”, they aren’t cars. If you set one on top of a car chassis, you have to fully hide or “mutate” that base car chassis. The other biggie, the Christina, is sitting on a cement truck chassis. That part is pretty well hidden but the boa...

Seriously what’s everyone’s problem? Do you believe the plane has been abandoned as moop?

If that’s your problem, you’ve got no problem. That hasn’t happened and isn’t happening.

A lot of really cool people worked a hell of a lot to bring their project to the playa. Did you?

Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

Yeah, it’s fake news. They didn’t talk to anyone who knew what was going on. Do you really think the guys who put that many years of effort into it, and had to jump through more legal hurdles than any other MV has ever had to, and been subject to more scrutiny than any other, just left it? And what ...

There’s no typical burner. I live in a suburban neighborhood full of Starbucks and red wine drinkers. I even drink Starbucks and red wine sometimes. I’m certainly not a hippy. I don’t even like hippies. Burning Man is absolutely not what the general public thinks it is. It’s way more high tech, it’s...

It has a permit, and it's going to be in it's private-land docking spot, which it's only yards away from, next week after ground prep is done.
It isn't moop, abandoned, unlicensed, or any of that other fake news.

The so-called burners who need to do drugs to have a good time at Burning Man are fucking losers you don’t need to be around.
Those people aren’t what’s good at Burning Man. They’re what’s wrong with it.

Oh yeah, whoever did it needs to be tied up and left on the playa after the event is over.
15-20 years ago, Honda generators got left out on the open playa powering unattended art installations. Seriously, I saw it.
Now, I lock down everything at all tiles.

My guess is that it was assumed you'd abandoned your camp.
Also, Burning Man is not the utopia many people seem to think. Especially modern-day Black Rock City, which is very different from the Black Rock City that once existed.

There’s a driving loophole. If you have a disabled tag they let you drive your car all you want. I mean, I sort of understand but not really. That’s fucked and tons of people misuse it.
