Re: 2019 Playa Conditions
Awesome, thanks. Coming from an area with microclimates that can vary 20+ degrees in 5-7 miles I'm always a little unsure of how well forecasts apply to nearby areas. I've been using NOAA, so sounds like it should be reasonably accurate as far as these things go.

Re: 2019 Playa Conditions
How applicable is the Gerlach forecast for the playa? Is it a pretty fair indicator of general temp/humidity ranges?

Re: FOMO sale ticket delivery -- when should I start to worry?
I emailed support and was told that they essentially can't track tickets as they're sent out in batches (not sure why that is).
My tickets just arrived at the end of last week for what it's worth.

Re: Transporting large poles
I've been thinking about how I'm going to handle transport of the 10' sections of my EMT structure, driving a Subaru outback wagon. One thought was a DIY version of the tubing carrier Token posted, built using 4" ABS with a screw off clean out plug on one end, and u-bolts to attach it to the factory...

Re: FOMO sale ticket delivery -- when should I start to worry?
Good to know about STEP having to be shut down for the OMG sale, I hadn't even considered that. I'll give it another week before I start to worry too much. Thanks for the response.

FOMO sale ticket delivery -- when should I start to worry?
I bought my ticket and vehicle pass in the FOMO sale, and I'm starting to get a little bit concerned that it hasn't arrived yet -- plus I'm no longer able to see STEP/ticket options within my burner profile. Hopefully that means it's shipped and in transit? Anyone else received a ticket from a FOMO ...

Lag screws for anchoring my tent and shade structure -- 20 1/2" x 18 and 50 3/8" x 14, I figure I'll have some to gift/share.

Re: [Hopeful] Virgin, rolling solo...
Thanks! Other than heat, dust, and waiting at the gate/exodus I'm trying to go in without expectations and let serendipity take over. I spent three weeks last year in the deserts of southern Nevada, Arizona and Utah traveling alone by motorcycle and camping -- and many of the best moments of the tri...

My name is Don, and I'm optimistic that this will be the year that I make it to BM. My desire to go has been building for the last several years and really crystalized this winter. The "Metamorphoses" theme resonates strongly with me, having recently clicked over 40 years on this planet and feeling ...
