Re: Looking for a used shade structure

I see, we have more experienced guys in the camp who camped last year, and also we divided our efforts, other guys are looking into getting new carports, I'm personally trying to find something used from burners who might not need it this year. I guess my mission lies in the mentioned facebook group...

Re: Looking for a used shade structure

I’m a noob, gyus, I was lurking quite a bit, but turns out I don’t quite feel it, you mean buying any commodity structures is not how things are supposed to be at Burning Man? We will decorate it inside and out to make it unique and fun, no offense taken just trying to understand.

Re: Looking for a used shade structure

Thanks for the reply. I have no experience with buying those, can you elaborate a bit on “very expensive”? I think we’re trying to make it 3k$ for this

Looking for a used shade structure

For mods: if this is not the correct forum, please move my post! Hello, everyone! My camp is looking at different options to get hold of a shade structure for a chill zone for our camp. One of the options is trying to buy something used from burners so here I'm on eplaya :) Maybe you have a shade st...

Re: Main Sale Ticket Success?!

Out of my camp three people got to the checkout stage and were unsuccessful in going further, the first one got constant 500 errors and then the expiration screen, other two were unsuccessful in finding the invisible button for the access code. Eternal spinning in my case. Is the main sale always so...

It let me put a ticket and a parking pass in a cart about 5 minutes ago, and it asked for an access code. I don't know any code.

The one time I did it, I had a bad experience with a vulture who decided to commit suicide using my body for the attempt. It was not pretty. I know,...what are the odds?
Wow! That's terrible! You mean on a tandem skydive? Under the parachute? Colliding with anything in the air can be deadly :(

Re: Virgin burner (hopefully) coming 2019

Welcome! Hats off to you. I have never been able to justify jumping out of an aircraft that was flying just fine. Thank you. Nah, you don't have to justify anything, you either want it (anything) and do it despite fear etc or not, if you don't :) Wind tunnels can show some of why we do want to do i...

Re: Should I go for presale?

The most reliable way to get tickets to Burning Man is to be a hard worker, good at something, and be willing to share that with others. Then become an essential part of a group project. Nobody cares if Joe Rando can't make it to Burning Man and doesn't get to see Skrillex fight in the Thunderdome....

Re: Virgin burner (hopefully) coming 2019

Ooooh, check out Burning Sky. They're a camp that facilitates on-playa skydiving, they also do a couple of really cool air 'shows'. (one has to be an experienced skydiver, with ~200 jumps under one's belt to jump on-playa, but I'm guessing you meet that criteria) Thank you! Yes, I've heard of them,...

Virgin burner (hopefully) coming 2019

Hey everyone! I'm Ilia, 30 years old from Russia. I've heard the "brand" Burning Man before, but this autumn I've met friends straight from 2018 event and 5 to 10 minutes into the conversation I knew that I wanted to be part of that! It was just intuitively but when I read the 10 principles I knew f...

Re: Should I go for presale?

Ok, thank you to everyone who replied, it helped make the picture more clear. How badly do you want to go? I think this is the key question ("very much" doesn't cut it, has to be measured in currency), I will ask myself when the presale opens contemplating my bank account and for the months leading ...

Should I go for presale?

Hello, people! I've met a burner this autumn and immediately knew that I need to participate in Burning Man, this post is not the place to explain myself :) but long story short I'm quite anxious to miss a ticket, so I'm trying to do everything reasonable to secure one. Now my question is: what can ...
