Hi,

I will be towing a friend's MV to BRC. He will not be with me, as I am getting there earlier than him. Will there be an issue bringing his MV thru the gate? Do I need to have any of his DMV paperwork with me, or doesn't that matter at the gate?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm looking into covering a burnable art piece with wheat-pasted graphics. Does anyone have any experience with how this method holds up in the dryness? Corners peeling? etc. etc.?

It will be @ 15'x15'x20', completely covered.

Thanks AntiM! I'm happy to report that Putt-Putt Playa will be making its return to BRC for 2012, hopefully on the Esplanade : )

I'm happy to report that Putt Putt Playa will be making its return after a two year hiatus! Hopefully located on the 8:00 side, a complement to the BRMGCaCC : )

I have a source for the wheel stock you guys use and one of these weeks I'm going to go over to the pipe plant and see if I can establish a supply so I can be a source. From the chatter on here it seems that the wheel stock is hard to get in small quantities and I might have an in with that. There ...

Frank's Kitchens at 7:30 & Liminal (yes, we requested that remote location!) - proud host of the Philadelphia Container to BRC & Kinetic Conveyances. After 5 or so years on the Esplanade, we decided to camp on the very last street. It was by far the best burn I personally have ever had. The view was...

Hey Motz! So sad to have missed you yet AGAIN this year! I even saw signs for Stag camp (we were at 7:30 & L) but of course, never made that left turn. We had 4 trikes out his year, and it was awesome! I'll never forget the year you fixed up the Sand Reckoner for us :D http://farm7.static.flickr.com...

I don't know anything about the gargoyle, but I absolutely LOVED your photos! You captured so many of the small details and happy fleeting moments that make Black Rock City so special. You also captured many things I saw or participated in out there, but didn't have a camera with me, so thank you fo...

Fabulous pics all around! Lenny, your site was fine for me as well.

theCryptofishist: What happened to 2011?

hehe - right?? The band's not getting back together til '12. boo. Might be able to rally for '11, though. But it's doubtful. I missed the front nine this year : (

Putt-Putt Playa was on the Esplanade for 3 years straight on the 8:00 corner (we took 2010 off, but BACK IN 2012!!). We loved being right up front in the brunt of it. PPP was great fit for the Esplanade - highly interactive, visually interesting day & night and open 24/7. I think you need to prepare...

>>that assumes tenting vs. renting an RV. If you get your own you don't have most of those hassles<< I agree - it was the renting part that was one of the biggest turn-offs. If I lived on the west coast, I would have invested in a camper or RV. That would be fun, to make a playa-mobile, customized a...

I think the only thing that would make you a "bad burner" is you - not your preferred method of camping : ) If you approach BM with a sense of community and participation, you'll be fine, no matter what your housing. I have done both - several years of RV, and a year of tenting. I prefer the tent. M...

Oh! I saw that during the day & had no idea what it was. Glad to know now, because I was curious as to what it was. I think this is the first year that I truly understood that you really need to visit the same art pieces twice - in the day and at night.

Hey Psilly - fancy meeting you here : )

Hi Peter - it was great meeting you on the playa this year and riding in the 5:00 at 5"00 : ) (we had the bowling pin trike).

I've seen you bouncing around since '05 - nice work!

Hello,

That might be Peter - he makes awesome kinetic vehicles : ) Check out these photos on his flickr page

Photos from camp, around town, Putt-Putt Playa, Chaotic Harmony and the Sand Reckoner

Thanks again, AntiM, for one of my favorite little spots in BRC!

I didn't get to adopt this year, but was happy to contribute silk screens representing my installation, Chaotic Harmony. Thank you for making such a cozy spot, year after year... I hope to see you again next year : )

I was so happy this year with everything! Our camp, Putt-Putt Playa, was operating on a skeleton crew with half our numbers from last year. But our crew was so amazing and we all pulled together and made this our best year yet! The course as packed pretty much round the clock, and golfers didn't lea...

"As I was walking near the Giant generator late Saturday night I noticed a award sign with a blue ribbon someone posted on the lower left corner of the thing. It said: "Awarded Best Use of Corner Frontage, by the BRC Beautiful Homes and Garden Association."

This is why I love Burning Man : )

LOL, PineMom - I have the same situation! We were married in 07 on Wednesday. Last year, my mom asked me what was the date of our anniversary, and I was like, "ummmm - it's just Wednesday!" I still don't know what the actual date is! My husband & I got married in 07 on the 8th hole of our camp Putt-...

I didn't take a picture, but I remember passing by. We had a guy at our camp, whose name was "That Guy" and I really wanted to get a picture of "That Guy" in front of "That Camp" - but I never did. You know how THAT goes! Good luck in your picture search!

Hello AntiM : )

Thank you so much for bringing the nuptial party to our camp. We were honored to have Bucky grace the Chapel Hole all week - people loved it!

They are ArcheDream for Humankind, and they performed at The Philadelphia Experiment, 7:30 & Esplanade. I believe they (archeDream) are coming back in '08. PEX will definately be back in '08
