Too many to count!

My top 3. 1. 2000, the first year of the new generation pedestals under the man. I was out with my Luminator on Sunday night before the event start. The neon was not up and lit yet, so I had the man to myself to light. After a couple of hours of projecting some pretty cool colors & patterns on the m...

Wrong is wrong, and you would be asking for justice too

For all those who say:
He was just making a statement, leave him alone(or don't involve the law), You would be asking for LEO's and justice if someone walked into your camp and torched your vehicle or shot you in the "name of art". Burning man doesn't happen in a vaccum.

Wow, what a bunch of narrow-mindedness. I'll bet your family is so proud. Afterall your grandparents, or whomever it was, never got off a boat with gleam in their eyes for the new beginings they were facing, right? All of us come from somewhere, so embrace your heritage in this theme. Nobody said it...

'96 chaos

'96 was our first burn, so it holds some cool memories. My honey had a problem with contacts and didn't bring her glasses, so the chaos of the unorganized BRC and being in a new place with a person who could barely find her way around was insane. I still like to look at the pics of that chaotic camp...

Parades

There used to be an Art Car parade and a DPW parade, and a processional from center camp to the burn, but I don't know if this is still happening though? Make your own parade for burners who always wanted a parade but were not invited to the others. The parade of Misfit Burners?

Freeze as much of your drinks as you can. 32 oz gatorade bottles will last all week. They are contained ice, and as they start to melt you drink them, icy cold and refreshing. And also bottled water. As you travel the city you have cool refreshing drinks, keep them in an insulated carier to extend t...

Todd is God

Todd Rundgren has been to BM more than once. In 2001 he was at the Tiki camp and played on a little stage in the camp. It was absolutely unreal, seeing my all time fav perform at BM. Then to top it all off him, his wife & kid hung out with us on our Playa vehicle, the Luminator during the burn, his ...

We went from '96 to '04, 8 years in a row. This will be the 3rd missed time. Living in Reno is hard, cause you see all the burners on the freeway everyday, so I'm living through them. The kids will be old enough to stay with grandma in a few years, I can't wait to get back. I'll be burning on Sat as...

Sorry assed excuse for burners

Being from Reno and attending 8 burns I have to say there's alot of local yahoos who make up this weekender fuckwit population, I knew several who have abused all kinds of stuff, from shooting fireworks to bragging because they sneaked in afterwards. I think the only thing that will work is to start...

Go back to school

Look folks, the geometry is pretty simple. The closer you are, the more your going to see if your lower(therefore more angle) of what your looking at. Since the burn happens on a fixed plane and above, you have 3 options. If your on the ground then viewing from a low angle is better, if your above t...

I smell a Themecamp

Well the answer seems obvious here RingO'Fire, you must create the "Icy Hot Balls and other Parts Themecamp" and offer this service to the fine citizens of BRC. I'm quite sure that each time you get a willing participant your lingering pain will subside just a little more!

Art Cars driving off into the sunset?

I have operated a mobile art vehicle for the past 3 years. The "Luminator" in '01, the "Playa Serpent" in '02 and the "Crosstika" this year, lighting up the Rev Billy performances each night. One thing no one has mentioned is how the BLM feels about the Art Cars. I was told upon regestering this yea...
