My experience is there is nowhere to escape the thump-thump of subsonic bass pulses. I've camped way out in walk-in camping and still feel it in my body. I don't think I'm overly sensitive, but the sonic aspects of BM are one of the survival challenges. I've never left there without going somewhere ...

Aaarrrgh!! I said 'vibe'. My brain is shrinking, shrinking.... Love and peace are kind of a side-effect of minimal rules. Of course, you could also argue that after beating people with foam bats, or riding your bike all over a hot, dusty plain for hours n hours, or seeing juicy acts of total abandon...

Re: isn't it ironic, dont you think?
I have never been to BM, and I really hope to one day (unfortunately I live in Australia). From what I can tell the BM experience is like one big happy caring family. But I would have to say that I am a little dissapointed that when all you burners get back to the real world and congregate here on ...

Having said that I get the impression that the criteria is going to be a bit more stringent which translates (in my mind) into the need for some serious creativity in order to pass muster. Never having captained an 'art' vehicle aside from my own derrier perched atop a bike, I don't know much about...

I don't find electric golf carts so objectionable since they are usually pretty slow moving. It's the Ford pickup with a piece of wood on the nose to resemble the prow of a boat. The go-carts and minibikes that go zipping past my campsite all day. Motorcycles suddenly zooming across the playa at 60 ...

I just read the allowed vehicle page and I still wonder at what's allowed and what is pushing the envelope. Sure I get that a totally mutated 4 wheeled vehicle made over into some sublime work of art okayed by the DMV is allowed on the playa. But what about: the guy driving a flying carpet complete ...

I think that is true for all people. We define good and bad in ethical and moral terms in order to enforce group behavioral norm...

28' diameter dome frame
Howdy,
I've got this dome frame I created for last year. If you're interested in putting up a dome, contact me. Needs a shade cloth skin, but the major work is done, ie, the frame.
