I learned how to masturbate as a teenager by using the hand-held waterpik in the shower set to a gentle massage. Still one of the best ways, IMHO. From that I learned I could have multiple orgasms. I still wonder if my parents worried about the increase in the water usage there for a while. These da...

Joaquin Tavares-Sinai - amazing artist, musician (band: Faith and Disease), philosopher, theoretical mathematician, mystic, too many things to list. Killed by shotgun blast to the chest in Seattle on January 12th by Troy Mcleod, an acquaintance. I don't know much more than this as I moved away last ...

AntiM mentioned tap lights for tent lighting. I keep seeing these things at the second hand stores and I was wondering if anyone has tried to rewire these with LED lights? I was thinking about them for ambient low-lying camp lighting, but with LEDs they might be even nicer.
Thanks,

Dusty, this sounds so great. I will be a virgin burner to '06 and from what I've read on eplaya, it can be a little daunting to walk into other people's camp so an idea like this is perfect to get over that nervousness, and interact with people. I joined your tribe also! (a little off topic but) 2 o...

An old virgin to be deflowered

After reading all the good advice here, and really thinking about it, I've decided not to worry so much about making a "big splash" my first time out. Instead I'm going to focus on the essentials: water, attitude and costumes. (Costumes may not be essentials for everyone, but as someone who gets up ...

hmmm, bamboo is a good thought! I haven't any real experience with it, though. Should it be harvested shortly before being taken to the desert, or should it season?

skygod - I feel I have waited too long to go to BM. I have known about it for almost a decade, but each year I let it go by without joining in, due to all sorts of reasons/excuses. I feel I need to create something for the playa more as a declaration of my ability to finally overcome these obstacles...

The structure I want to build is not for shade or shelter. Triangular cotton (or silk if I can afford it) fabric will be mounted to the structure with airbrush paintings on the material. I am planning to slice vents throughout the material and sew streamers/flags to the vents to allow the wind to co...

I am thinking PVC for my set-up in a 3-D triangle (trihedron?- one less side than a pyramid) but I want it to bit a little bit flexible/whippy without going down in the high wind. I can't think of any way to really test that up here in the damp and mellow northwest. It may be one of those things tha...

I have been surfing the ePlaya and came across a thread proposing a Parade of Virgins at BM2005, with prizes given to wranglers bringing in the most virgins, and organizers handing out white bands for virgins to wear - identifying them so others could approach with advise, welcomes and forgiveness f...

As a virgin burner, I am trying not to do TOO much for my first event. Crankhead - I don't know if I would set up to give head, but I am planning on foot rubs and massages to give as gifts. I am creative (I shy away from the term artist - too long to go into here) and want to bring a gift of visual ...

regarding An old virgin to be deflowered

Ogre, I have lived on the west coast since the age of 5 and here I am, over 30 years later, planning on BM 2006 to be my deflowering. Nothing ever really came together before now, so I have decided it was Karma. Just today I was in the local mega store, stocking up on after Halloween glow sticks and...

Burners in Eugene

I don't think I qualify as a burner, as 2006 will be my first year. After years of putting it off, saying someday, then hitting Labor Day weekend with neither the time nor the resources to go - I am now committed to going in 2006, have started saving, planning, scheming! I just moved to Eugene from ...
