not aluminet
Yah, it's not aluminet but the cheaper plastic shade cloth in the color red (hopefully). But I am so glad to hear that the clips don't break, and that they grab the edges of the unfinished aluminet well. I have to assume, but will call the company, that shade cloth holds up as well as aluminet. Than...

Plastic Clip-Its with Shade Cloth - Advice?
Hi all, This year we are making a new shade covering for our dome. We are thinking red 80% shade cloth cut into hexagons. I have some questions for any of you who've embarked down this path: 1. Can you just cut the shade cloth any way you like without fraying or do the edges need to be finished on a...

"Russian Ark"
Anyone seen it? One long continuous shot (90 minutes), while walking through the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, through many time periods of Russian history. It's fantastic.

Those are my pal Patricia's pics. When I saw the pic of that geometric design you made I was really impressed. Ah that color Electric blue! And the design is gorgeous, in fact I think I looked at your pics over the weekend and saw the whole lot that you made. Very NICE. What little shop does your fr...

Speaking of poodles. I saw 3 on Friday at Union Square Park.. white fluffy, Standard poodles. They were wearing matching coats with GIN ADVERTISEMENTS on them! hahahahahaha! They weren't dyed pink, however. Still I found myself strangely craving a Gin and Tonic with whipped cream. IS that weird? I m...

Re: Logic?
ever seen those car commercials? They are making shitloads of car/SUV/minivan commercials out there. I wouldn't lose too much sleep over that. Commercials are shot using brand-new cars. New cars don't leak much--typically not at all. True true. I leak, shit man I leak a whole damn bunch. And ON the...

Transmission fluid evaporates? I see.
Not that this makes it any less wrong but, ever seen those car commercials? HUNDREDS OF THEM? Cars hauling ass across a wide open light tawny desert environ? When we aren't there, a whole bunch of advertising supergiants are. They are making shitloads ...

Bi-Costal Burning Brainstorms
Yip Yip Yipppeee! You want to know something else weird? If you believe in kismet, or karma, or the universe trying to tell you things, which I do... I have been considering moving into the "healing" trade. Or, it continues to knock on my door, so I "believe" the path is calling me. I am meeting mor...

Gimme the weekend to work a lil sum sum up? Fun PROJECT!
It could be a jumping off point for you, or something ... Or you will just love it so damn much that you run with it.
Whatever, I'm easy.
heh.

T shirts
Certainly. Can I have one?
In fact, I silk screened a bunch of shirts and handed them out as gifts at bman. Now wouldn't it be funny to get one that someone else screened?
It's the Burning Way, isn't it?

Advice...
My favorite gift was advice given to me by someone following his dreams, doing something that I WANT to do. I sat down behind the Advice booth with a clear conscience, hoping to help someone, and I ended up getting advice about my own life that will assuredly help set my feet on the correct path. Oh...

Satan's Soul Stealing 2002 - a story
See, I thought Satan might've been associated with "Steal Your Soul" camp, but he was not, that I can see. But I had a friend who passed by said soul stealing camp shouting angry epithets. For this I apologize, she was only looking out for her best friend's best interests. The reason why? Satan stol...

Was getting a cold (or allergies) on the drive out. By Tues. nite I could speak not a word out loud. I took it as another sign from the universe. Quiet is the new loud. I made up a set of whistles to call my burners to me. Not having a good yelling voice on the playa puts you at a serious disadvanta...

fly it high, upsidedown!
i had a good chuckle seeing the American Flag flown upsidedown. It made the little gears TURN TURN TURN in my head. Not that it is necessarily "unAmerican." It can mean other, more thought provoking, things.
Another thing to get the gears turning:

It was the same for my camp... or several people in my camp. Granted, I had caught a little bug just before getting to bman. (much coughing lasted throughout the week.) However, several healthy others seemed to sleep a whole lot. I tried many times to stay up and not miss anything, but my body just ...

House of Cards Birthdate Fortunes?
Can anyone help? I have been searching for a few days now for descriptions of the "birthdate cards" from the house of cards. I went with my friend and we read our own, and those of 2 people very close to us. The descriptions were so damned spot-on that it scared us. I wandered around asking the Hou...
