Re: Advice needed for quality Shade cloth by the Roll
The trick is to have balance between shade density and shade distance. Because aluminet has a natural ability to reduce sun and heat a 70% mixture is great to have. It will give you enough shade to cool your metal hull wile eliminating the fear of a sailing event. If you give a birth of about 12" - ...

Re: Advice needed for quality Shade cloth by the Roll
Its been a wile since I have ordered any but here is some Aluminet Shade Cloth . It is a fair price and works nicely. It has a cool feature, lockstitch construction that prevents unfinished edges from unraveling. With 70% shade allows 30% light transmission. You can get it with fabricated edges and ...

Re: Hopeful first timer & is this a do-able project?
1. Would sand and dust storms be constantly ruining this constant art-in-progress? would we need to cover it over with a large tent structure or anything? The wind may be a problem with spray paint. Possibly you could use an acrylic paint. You want to make sure thou that if will dry fast and not bl...

Re: Thankyou all for the feedback.
Thinking about this http://www.msrcorp.com/tents/pavilion.asp but then again it might be too low. [snip] What are you poinnions on the Pavilion? If you're going to spend $400, just get the Costco canopy and a case of Krylon Fusions to decorate the tarps with. You'll save a lot of money and get just...

On the MSR pavillion, I'd suggest getting a backup pole or two. 2 Poles come with the pavilion and I'm getting 2 adictional 9 foot colapsable poles. Another thought on the pavillion. Since it's shaped sort of like a pup tent, my thinking would be to orient it so that the long spine at the top of th...

You can't go wrong with MSR equipment....they build stuff that again if properly staked down would have no trouble handling what the playa can toss at it. And it looks like you already have your mind made up on the equipment choice which is good. I'll admit to a touch of envy...MSR equipment at inv...
