Re: bike, parts shortage

Yes, absolutely hang bicycles up off the floor, so there is no weight on the tires. The alternative is to put the bike up-side-down on the floor, but this can risk damaging other parts. All inner-tubes leak -- it is only a question of degree. Precious few inner-tubes will hold enough pressure for 50...

Re: bike, parts shortage

That was rude of me, since you are new to this. I apologize. In addition, I forgot that ePlaya is essentially defunct, so no onslaught of "competing" comments could be expected. And perhaps my biggest error, outside my rudidity: Out of habit, I assumed you meant On Playa -- which is why I expected a...

Lucky420, as I understand it, Burning Man Project is the "parent" or "umbrella" organization of everything related to the event in any way, from the event itself to Fly Ranch to Burners Without Borders and so on and so forth.

For whatever thoughts this may suggest: BMP is hiring an Administrative Coordinator (Temporary) for the period of March to September 2021, which sounds like the "event cycle" to me. https://recruiting.paylocity.com/Recruiting/Jobs/Details/446059 "Full disclosure": A camp-mate of mine is applying, an...

My friend... when Mother Nature invented empathy, she did a devastatingly competent job of it. Suicide, as with all acts of defensive warfare, takes place in either of two perspectives: strategic or tactical – planning for the long term; and dealing with immediate needs, anticipated and otherwise. Ranging in diversity from the immensely insightful James Baldwin to the collossally creative Charlie Chaplin, we have always had people who understood. Problem is, we failed to teach this understanding to the masses -- the devastatingly dimwitted who need to understand it. Charlie Chaplin fully anti...

Re: Best kind of sunblock

I remember Bonneville as less hot than the Black Rock Playa, which might, at least hypothetically, be because the almost-pure-white surface absorbs less energy than the appreciably darker Playa surface. But the reflected rays can sure burn your normally-always-shaded body areas. Regardless... standi...

Be advised: Bureau of Erotic Discourse's main website was hijacked and altered with dishonest intentions by a "disgruntled former..." some time ago, and as of a few weeks ago they still had not regained control of the site's content.
Use other channels to reach them.
Best.

It also arrived as a Placement Newsletter this afternoon.

Our dear planet would sure benefit from a 50 percent reduction of the human herd, and a huge camp-out with barely rudimentary sanitation and hygiene should speed up the culling to a worthwhile extent.

Reading the above makes me wonder....
Let's say -- rather hypothetically, I suppose, but... -- that the public comment "Fuck off you fascist." is actually received and read by Mr. Cruz.
Could this be expected to improve Mr. Cruz' future behavior? Anybody's behavior?
