Hey folks, DJ Apollo here. Interesting reading the feedback. It would probably be helpful if folks said what time they were listening during Exodus - lots of different DJ's that day, and kn owing who was giving good info and who wasn't might be useful.. Oh, and if you don't like the music on BMIR, t...

My wife the lovely Blackswan and I brought our 41/2 month old Rabbit Boy out with us this year - he was on-playa for two weeks. He had a great time - we kept on the SP50 sunblock, kept him in the shade, out of the duststorms, and he had a huge fan club and loved the fireworks burn night (he had a fr...

Re: what was the song i heard during exodus?

I heard a song on BMIR, I think around 2:00 PM during exodus. The DJ referred to it as Norwegian industrial folk. Anyone know this band/ the song I'm referencing? It was beautiful and sad, with growling bass, and made my exodus. Thanks, y'all! buzhidao Dude! That was me in my incarnation as DJ Apol...

Regardless of the party, I'm distressed that the ORG has enough money to donate to campaigns at all. If they are generating so much surplus with our ticket money, it is clear that they don't need mine. It also makes me a lot less willing to buy a more expensive ticket, knowing that the surplus will...

Learn to love dried fruit. I dodn't know about its availablitiy in Reno, but organic, non-suphur dried fruit and veggies will be a lot more edible by the end of the week than fresh.

As far as I know, the Empire Store does not sell organic stuff. Good luck.

I think most burners would find this patently offensive. Is this where all that extra money is going?! Funny, I would've thought you'd be more upset on all the money the LLC wasted paying your mom to give blowjobs to the DPW. 'Cause let me tell you, after the first three hours, she could barely mov...

Hey CG, I realize that the inherent source of our disagreement is that I don't mind the presence of commerce in the cafe and you do, and most likely never the twain shall meet. That being said Kelly, Can you name another theme camp that is built by DPW? (besides the cafe?) Can you name another theme...

Hey, back on the eplaya, and of course I have to jump into the cafe debate, as run down as it may be. If they were to stop selling coffee/chai what might happen? Well, I think what might happen is that the temple might fall without the money changers. There might not be an elaborate center camp cafe...

mullahs and rabbis in Palestine/Israel. Fundos here. *sigh* I meant there, Pla/Is. I think you overestimate the roll of religion in the mainstream of this conflict. From what I've read, it sounds like religion is very important on the Israeli side - most of the settlers are hardcore fundies, and mo...

One last challenge to the election

I'm sure many people are resigned to hopelessness or beyond caring at this point, but for those who aren't: Representative John Conyers, ranking minority member of the House Judiciary Committee, will object to the counting of the Ohio Electors from the 2004 Presidential election when Congress conven...

Not a bad article altogether, but rather one-sided in my opinion. This sums up my thoughts on patriotism pretty well: The mass of men serve the state thus, not as men mainly, but as machines, with their bodies.
