Couple at Petting Zoo--Hugh and ?--JUST GOT ENGAGED AT BM
I was a little tipsy on all the Petting Zoo pussy juice, but I met the two of you and you were such a great couple. You are from Ireland but living in another country and just got engaged on the playa after a few mishaps. After our vow to be best playa friends, I tried to find you both but failed. I...

Re: ..AND WE'RE OFF!
Yes, like so many others, this was smooth and painless. Whatever BMorg did this year...congratulations and THANKS! Two of us in the household and we both were able to get in, get our two tickets each and be out of there in 15 minutes. Last year really colored the experience for so many...I only hope...

Re: Food ideas
Hey everyone. I have a few basic questions for y'all out there. I was thinking of Trade Joe's frozen stir frys and chow mein...but I wonder how long they are good to stay in the cooler. The bags say that they should stay frozen, but I know they will only stay 'cool' in the ice chest. Also, to save w...

Excellent newsletter. The tone of the discourse is totally different and I for one appreciate it. It is definitely reassuring. Thanks!

Re: New Burningman Ticket Process - 2012
Why is it then when people need to overhaul an ailing system, they always come up with some huge ridiculous plan...like a lottery. This sounds more confusing, more frustrating than ever. And FUCK the people who are just going to label those who disagree with this program and 'moaners and whiners'. W...
I'm really glad that others are responding to this thread because I was feeling really alone with this. It is quite possible that I have changed so much by my trips to BM that nothing there seems that unusual, out of the ordinary or scary. I used to be scared of losing my group out on the playa, bei...
Thanks for the advice. Funny, but I got together with some of my friends who went this year and we looked at everyone's pics...and there it was....I got the warm fuzzy again. This place is really deceptive....with a bit of distance now I think this might have been my best trip yet. But I still think...
Burn Out?
This was my 7th consecutive year at BRC and I finally am feeling signs of burn out. Everything that felt extra-ordinary and magical seemed nice and cool, but not as amazing as they had seemed in the past. The art just didn't seem that great to me this year. I don't know how to explain it, but even t...

How Do You Deal With Slackers In Your Camp?
Hey there...5th year Burner, 1st time setting up my own theme camp. There are going to be about 35 of us...and I'm curious how other people have dealt with this situation before....how do you deal with the people who were never really available to prepare for the trip, set up the camp, etc? Or the p...

As always, it's kind of impossible to post a qustion on eplay without getting slammed. I have been to BM for five years. I love the carcass wash. I go every year. It's one of my favorite things. I go every day when I'm there. But I've been confused when others have felt weird vibes. I just feel frie...

Carcass Wash--What's Your Opinion?
The Human Carcass wash is one of my favorite things to do at BM....great group shower activity. Yet, when I go there, it seems that it attracts a mostly older, gay crowd. I've gone to it with friends who take one look and bail. They say the vibe is weird. What's your take on any of this?

Looking To Recharge Creativity
Hey there, I'm a writer too, and make a living at it, which is cool...but I am totally burnt out with writing. I'm looking for a place/space/venue/group....to help recharge/reconnect to my creativity. Don't need another workshop with notes from people.....there are too many of those in the real worl...

Men's Shoes At BM
Ok, this is something I never get right....guys, what kind of shoes do you wear at BM that are easy on the feet, easy to bike with, and what do you wear at night that are all of the above, plus good looking?
Thanks for any feedback.

LOST: CANON DIGITAL CAMERA-SILVER COLOR WITHOUT CASE
Older (2 years) model...a little wider than the newer models. I don't remember what model type it was, but we lost it on the playa on Saturday afternoon, riding with the Skinny Kitty procession. Lost somewhere between the man and 9:00/Esplanade. It has pictures of our camp...the last few pictures sh...

No Apologies Necessary
Hey Larry, It was great meeting you. You guys were busy that night...I hung out and watched the Harry Potter redux which was awesome. Then you played Shake Hands With Danger as a request for someone in our group. The Icy Shoulder punch was delicious. I came up to say goodbye when I was leaving but y...

Re: Lamplighting!
Don't miss Lamplighting! Just show up at their workspace near 5:30 & Center Camp around 5:00pm any night. Sign on, robe up and light the City. It's a BLAST! I've heard that lamplighting is a blast...but why? I know it's a cool thing to take part of for the city, and I've seen them walking down the ...

Bad Idea Theater Is The Best-Make Sure You Check It Out
Instead of any negativity I thought I'd float this to the top. They do a helluva job there and play great movies. It's an awesome place to stop on your way back to your camp!
And guys, what are the ingredients for the icy shoulder anyway? Sounds like a fantastic drink special!

I think it's also reasonable to ask, why did you expect any kind of reaction from them? Yes it's nice when people are friendly, open and inviting. But it's not reasonable to expect that they will be that way all the time. Sometimes they are cranky because they haven't eaten or slept in too long. Did...

I'll put in my two cents as well...BM is a once a year (for some once in a lifetime) experience....don't ruin it for both of you. I've seen the same situation played out at BM, and IT NEVER ENDS WELL. Burning Man is a heightened experience on a good day...and being there during a break up can be a h...

You have just touched on my biggest dilemna at Burning Man. I am not a hot chick. And I really hate that it is hard to make an impression because of that. Last year I was strolling down the playa with a friend (who is a semi-hot chick). Some guy came over and gave us a beer that he had brewed back h...

I Thought I'd Heard It All-Read This!
While looking for an extra ticket on Craigs List I came across this ad. This person is advertising companies or individuals to advertise on his or her naked ass at Burning Man. Can you believe this??????????? Here's the ad. Yes that’s right! On my butt. You may be wondering why anyone would want to ...
