Right on, Soldier

Now he has some balls, doesn't he. That there is a brave man standing up for what he feels is right. I read some of the flak he's taking, racism and getting accused of being a traitor etc, but these attacks seem to be from very co-opted, blinded by patriotism type folk.

Diane O'Thirst, I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Good luck with your recovery.. About the hair issues, mine was breaking and fraying terribly on the playa last year till I treated it with this Body Shop Brazil Nut Oil Hair Mask, which smells really good. It's sort of expensive ($18 cdn, $??usd),...

Do not pee on the playa! Open your heart. Keep ya head up. Ask someone to dance within this evening and something lovely will happen. It's now or never. You will meet the love of your life this week. Free your ass and your mind will follow. This is it. The shoe is on the other foot. What are you wai...

Mfiles I am unclear as to your point.. you say that if she wants to be safe she should not set up V Camp (because it would be like a "sitting duck camp"??), but then knock her for trying to take precautions in a way that empowers her. And then Isotopia and others have suggested that she should stay ...

Yo, Isotopia, and Mfiles.. I think you're kidding yourself if you think you'd never be at risk for an assault. It happens to women regardless of age, economic status and whatever else. Hell, assaults can happen to anybody. No, I'm not creeping around the playa fearfully.. don't know why you'd infer ...

Rockdad.. um, the switcheroo there, your comparison of V-Camp to Penis camp, I see what you're trying to say but the thing is, you have to acknowledge that our culture's pretty sexist, and that far more women and girls are likely to be the victim of sexual assault than males. And, this is in North A...

Hunter S.. yeah, I got that you originally said that.. but then Mfiles was agreeing with you about how people make themselves victims. And I was wondering about the connection here because Xta G doesn't strike me as someone who sees herself as a victim.. she actually seems quite brave and empowered,...

Hi Again.. M-files, I was addressing the men that were attacking in their posts. Although, I'm unclear as to your point about "thinking like a victim".. Hunter S took back his remark when he realised it sounded like he was saying Xta-G had made herself a victim by "acting like a target" or something...

Just thought I'd toss my two bits in here. I'm 33 and most of my relationships have been with men, but I'd say I seem to fall a little harder for women (and they make me more nervous). Or maybe this is because while I do sometimes feel an attraction, it feels like me and men aren't on the same wavel...
