If you have power and a box fan, make a velcro vent hole in the top of your cover and mount the box fan with zip ties to the top of the dome (make sure it is exhausting hot air out of the top) If the weather gets bad , just close the vent. It really helps pull cool air in from the bottom.

For general transportation bring a bike ! I think you would be rather frustrated trying to board your way around BRC. Longboards aren't so much fun to carry and there's sooo much to see.

The reason you want 1.5" on each end is to put the center of your hole at 3/4". You will need equal flat space on either side of the hole.
