Robot Bunny Helmet, Gauntlets and Silver Proximity Coat with Nissan van key in pocket!

...motorcycle helmet with aluminum face and plastic bunny ears. Gauntlets are leather with aluminum flanges. Coat is an old-style fire proximity model with 2018 Swag Mart BM pin on lapel. the Magilla On Gorilla! just played with CLEAR Gorilla Glue.... Sets up faster than the regular stuff, which is nice. dries kinda whitish, like "squeeze out" on Elmer's White Glue. HOT TIP: after dispensing, wipe tip with a DRY rag and squeeze air out of bottle before capping....this stuff is air an...

Return of The Poop About GOOP

Although I failed to land a ticket in today's scramble I DO have designs on attending this year after having taken a year off...with that in mind I am reviving the thread about that indispensable gluey miracle, GOOP adhesive. Also known as Shoe Goo, it is marketed in different formulations for RV re...

Well Done, Everyone! We tore the cover off of another Lakes Of Fire! Great effigy and subsequent burn thereof, some great big art, entertaining and interactive theme camps and ONE HELLUVA LOT OF PARTICIPATION. Our volunteers made this the best year EVER.

Re: Attaching elwire to sheet metal

As observed, GOOP is the Fritz Schnitzel for EL projects...but I'll vouch for the fishline method too- Three square knots keeps it from untying. UV light rapidly degrades fishline, zipstrips and other plasticky things, so put your knots where shade is maximal and check for MOOP. Although it costs mo...

Re: A question about solar lights

Regardless of what lights you choose I would suggest either a manual (on/off) system or timer so that you can fine-tune the turn-on time. With a maze, especially a two-story one, you want to make sure the lights are where they're needed starting in the shadowy dusk hour. Lots of LED lights are so da...

Hey Robot land, you've driven I70 from Denver to Utah before? I agree, I70 is way prettier than I80, thats for sure! For those of us living in Denver, the extra cost and time makes I70 not worth it. But we can also shoot over to Grand Junction or Moab anytime we feel like. well, technically ....I w...

I as well plan to change my routing this year, but will do it on the way back as we have an extra week off after the burn, and the route you suggested is what we plan on using for the most part. Your trip on 50 last year inspired me to check it out this year. We plan on camping at either Great Basi...

Re: epoxy to glue sole back on boots?

You need to follow the directions then. E6000(which is WAY better than any of the GOOPs) is holding my girlfriend's workshoes together just fine, and she is a busy little waitress. It is holding her fave playa boots together also, many years and still... Goop is crap, go with E6000(avail at Walmart...

A freind wanted a temp shade for her horse and insisted on using blue tarp. Lasted about 20 minutes before the grommets ripped out and the noise scarred the hell out of the horse. Good! If it had lasted much longer, she'd have needed to start digging a BIG hole. Blue tarp can kill grass in 20 minut...

That many years in Michigan.....maybe. Playa adds years to materials in a week's time! My 2x4's open up, my aluminum cyclops mask is too hot to handle.... Re: Rebar, Candy Cane, Tent Stake "How To" & WARN

If you're as fortunate as I am to have a surplus-tarp-Chinese tool-flea market type place nearby, look for precut rebar stakes with washer-loops welded on. Nice! Still need to be capped, and I also spraypaint all of my rebar stakes with a durable, high-visibility paint to help combat rust and make '...

One more thing about EL wire and other blinky rigs....Be certain that your battery packs are tightly secured. Playa dust likes to eat batteries, and morning condensation compounds the problem. Also, you do NOT want to MOOP batteries and battery-compartment covers onto the playa. Tape 'em up if you c...

I won't buy anything but the heavy silver tarps. Still have some that I brought to playa in '03 and they've held up perfectly, except for @#!! mice eating 'em back home over the winter. Of the regularly available tarps, I recommend these (the tarps, not the mice) over all. And use several small ones...
