Re: Seattle virgin burner! Ready to learn what the opposite of rain is.

I would say the opposite of rain is fiery hail, not the absence of rain. If and when it does rain, stay put. Don't ride you bike or walk around, it will damage the playa and create ruts and potholes. Re: Veteran Technician seeking to build!!!

The playa info board has daily updates with requests for tech / builder help. I got to troubleshoot medusa a couple years ago and had a blast. One of my favorite things is fixing broken down art cars. When you put yourself out there, you will receive the call. Bring your tools, connectors, whatever....

The first TV remotes (like magnavox) had heavy duty buttons that clicked really loud. Remotes used to be called "clickers". Before Cable TV we used rabbit ears to tune in the channels... When cable did come out... I wanted my MTV. And the cable channels where letters a-z Pong was the dominant home e...

Back for More !!

Hey Kiddies! Really really looking forward to 2018, my 11th year on Playa. Can feel the energy building and my mind is squirming like a bug in anticipation. This year I'm adding a electric motor assist for my 2006 Schwinn Cruiser SSX. The parts continue to trickle in from various parts of the world....

Swing on by (Monday thru Sunday, Between 9am - 5pm) with your aluminum cans and pedal the human powered crushing machine. Recycle camp is a great place to swing on by,...

Re: I can'd decide if it's worth it...

I invited both my parents a few years back. My mother calls me this year and tells me that Burning Man is on her "bucket list".
So this year, I'm taking my dear Mother........ Life is to short to put off for later.

The playa at night is an experience everyone should see.

There ARE alot of rockstars out there in disguise. Maybe you'll get lucky and run into Bob Dylan or Lenny Kravitz playing a new song.
