I was responding on the placement issue. As I explained, placement is not part of rangers. We can help mediating, and be more aware of specific camps needs for the following year, but, we are not rangers. The placement of theme camps is done by their requests (not always fullfilled), by the level of interaction (at least what they say they will do - reality might be different) and what is possible. There is, of course, a main direction. For instance, there has been focus on the 4:30 and 7:30 avenues....

This is not that simple, and this is not even really the problem. Burning Man is issued an event permit that starts on 8/28th (Monday). You are correct Chris: more theme camps means more placement
issues. But, while we approved 546 camps (versus 468 last year),
we received over 600 applications. In short, it is even "worse"
than you think :-)

You need to be registered/mapped to apply for early arrival.
Without early arrival approval, the earliest you may enter Black
Rock City is Monday 28th 0:01 AM.
