As someone who volunteers days after the event, it kinda sucks not having street signs. Landmarks are great, but landmarks vanish rapidly. I have to agree with Rob and Maldita... There is no "they" who are going to make the changes that you speak of... it's us. If there are changes to be made, you or me or we should make them. Burning Man is about coming up with fantastic ideas and then executing on them so let's not just talk about it...

I respectfully disagree with you. If people left their valuables at home, half the costumes, art, instruments, vehicles, and other treasures, would be noticibly missing from the event. Call me idealistic, but instead of telling people to leave their valuables at home, why don't we watch out for one ...

Do you feel that the 2004 event was safer in regards to mutant vehicles? Does having more strict ArtCar rules, preregistration, an art car database, and an impound lot make the event better or worse?
