Lurker, have you ever been to Holland? No fat people first of all and they are very happy. They have developed methods to use everything, no waste. As a Dutchman I have to disagree with you. Plenty of fat people and kids are getting fatter. Waste dumps and incinerators aplenty. Happy? Lots of the t...

In what way? until you convince 5.666 billion people to stop reproducing for a generation, the world as we know it is gone. I have a family in my...

Fuck mileage, long live the metric system. Roughly, it's like this: Train to Amsterdam - 200 km. Plane to NYC - 5870 km. Plane to SF - 4148 km. Car to BM - 520 km. Hmmm... Quite a ride, actually. Except for the train to Amsterdam part, which is 20 km for me, pretty much the same! :D

At least you have that option in Amsterdam. Too dangerous to use a bike all the time here and too spread out too. We only have a pretense of public transit here and no trains. Right now a gallon of gas is about $7 in my area, I doubt it will take as long as 2012 for it to reach $10.
Most of that money is tax, not the actual cost.

I have a hard time seeing how you could get worked up over a heini.
It's the closest brewery to where I live and I'm a spelling nazi at times.
The exported crap is not the real deal.
Can't say I really like Heineken though, I prefer Hertog Jan.
