I always thought a game of 'Assassins' might be fun. You show up to a camp, sign up and write down your camp intersection plus two other hangouts and get a Polaroid taken of yourself. Then, you're given the notes about somebody else along with their picture, and it's on. When you find the other pers...

Also last page shows where BMORG has obtained a comprehensive insurance policy. Regardless of the affect of lessening risk at BM, it's a good thing the Org has insurance. I don't want the Burn to stop because a mother disagreed with someone's decision to give fire-breathing a go wearing a rayon jum...

You can't do the latter. The LLC is actually lucky to have as much control as it does have now. Forgive my ignorance but if you are in a public place, anyone can take your picture or video without permission and they can do whatever they want with it. People bitch about Discovery getting permission...

If it were possible to get straignt answers, I would want to explore the reasons for even allowing someone from a "couch potato" network to shoot such a documentary. It is either money, or diplomacy as far as I can tell. I say this because Discovery Times seems to be a producer of more informationa...

Re: Ain't what it used to be
In an environment with a defacto gift economy, it never dawned on me to hoard Burning Man itself. This is a good point for the burnier-than-thou types. The Org is trying a very fine balance between mitigating danger enough to keep having the Burn and Nerf Man. Look at it this way: if footage of Hel...

Afterburn Feedback 2k5 "our participants do not underst
The complete quote from the JRS is "A group of non Media Department staff, who were troubled about the Discovery Times piece, discussed the decision to allow Discovery Times to film. The staff members concluded that after analyzing the decision they felt the problem is that our participants do not u...

American Chopper: The Teutuls, between arguments, create a DPW-themed bike. PAUL JR: "I was just really inspired by the civic spirit shown by the Cafe, and I wanted to capture some of that in the design of the bike. That's why I made the wheels to look like empty coffee cups, and charging everyone ...

Theoretically, you could get everything you need for the 'camping' part into a 12x12x24 and take it with you as a checked bag, but that's a pretty minimalist trip. However, it's your first year, and that's probably a good thing. I've made your exact trip (except from PBI) and my costs were averaged ...

So you went two years and decided BM isn't your thing? I'm sorry it didn't work out for you, but you gave it a fair shot - and that's a good personality trait on your part. What I don't get, though, is what you're aiming to do by fighting about it. Are you trying to figure out a way to blame Burning...
