Re: Building Camp Showers!

Sump pump! I vaguely remembered something that would turn on and off automatically, but would never have come up with it on my own. Thank you! I'll have to put that on the shopping list for our camp.

Building Camp Showers!

Hello! I'm looking for information on building shower(s) for our camp. We are interested in some wooden frame sorta things to hang solar shower bags from, the grey water we'd want to pump into a big renta-container. We have power, so I was assuming a standard pond pump would work with a filter to ke...

Re: dying a springbar :)

I painted it with the regular acrylic and fabric medium. Awesome! I've got photos, the dye did not take well, the water repellant saw to that. I'll post photos to instagram today and link them here.

Re: dying a springbar :)

I have another friend who is going to dye his Kodiak, but with some middleeastern designs, so it goes with his band's theme. This thread has been very helpful. I saw an SCA forum where they painted their tents with dye and let it sit for a while before rinsing off. I did that with the pole bag and w...

Thanks! I guess I'll just continue with the color tests and retreat it after.

Re: dying a springbar :)

What was the final verdict? I was going to dye mine just because I look horrid in green and I'm not having it. I started with the pole bag, and just painted some liquid dye on. I saw something on an SCA sites suggesting that.

They may be amazing, but I doubt they're camped at the trash fence.

Token, you are zero amounts of fun. I was totally hoping there was someone out there running a camp with hot showers that accepted credit cards and offered vegan meal options. Please tell me there is. I want to believe.

Lost drums

The drummer for LA Fire Conclave lost his two drums the night of the burn. He had put them with our equipment, but someone came along and rearraged things and didn't put his drumbs back. They were left behind when the rest of our equipment was taken back to camp. One drum is round, kind of an hourgl...
