The bike arrived and it took perhaps less than 2 minutes to become rideable. It rides good enough for my needs.
Thanks for the suggestion of a bike lock. It's annoying to not be carefree but last year it was not uncommon to hear of people having their bikes "borrowed" without their permission.

Body Paint - What kind?
Heya.
Which type of body/face paint will hold up against the BRC environment during the day time for the majority of a day?
Please provide urls as well, if you are able.
Also, please share your experiences with body/face paint use if you have any.

Purchase a bike between the Reno Airport and BRC?
Heya! Are there any close stores/shops that would be selling cheap bikes that would be easily accessed between the trip from the Reno Airport to BRC? My current guess is that I will be attempting to find a ride share that meets up at the airport Sunday night or early Monday if that matters in the av...

Bloody nose - weee
Did anyone start getting bloody noses at random (well, what appears random) at Burning Man? I got there on Tues and started having problems around Thurs. That was the only problem I had during the entire trip. The heat just gave me energy and the dust didn't trigger any of my old astma problems. Yay...

Now that'd be a nifty map view to watch.
Put a tracker on a bike or bikes and watch an elapsed time video showing everywhere the bikes went through out the week :)

My GF didn't go and I had no intention of hooking up with any females (or males) simply because there was lots and lots and lots of party happy gals around. Though the desire to have sex is a constant and annoying at times reoccuring multiple times a day build up it really isn't that difficult to ig...

[quote="AntiM"]The "yellow bike" program caused problems for people with actual yellow-colored bikes. Our ranger unlocked his bike his bike at Center Cafe, got called over to do something rangery and didn't have time to wrangle the lock back on, and in that instant, woof! his bike was gone. .[/quote...

Weee stealing is fun!! err borrowing
Out of error I didn't bring a bike, we ran out of room with four people in the car and our baggage. I befriended a chap named Bob who is a part of camp 7 (I think the name is LUCKY 7) that let me borrow their extra bike for two days. He explained their other extra bike was stolen on the second day! ...

Greetings. 2006 was my first Burning man. I'm a male, if that matters in this case. I did see a fair amount of guys being typical males with comments and such. Anyone get pics of Tonya Kay?
Heya. She was doing an interview on radio at BM. After hearing something about "RAW VEGAN" being broadcasted from a camp, as I was zooming (somewhere near 8:00 / Eager) by on my borrowed bike, turning around and to my surprise Tonya Kay was there in person. Before I got back she was gone so... only ...

I should have put "Make sure to read the survival guides notes" too. I just found the info about at least getting use to the heat, as much as possible beforehand useful. Just curious.
There are only 4 voting choices. I am aware there are many different variances in each area but this was more for the typical response. I made sure to add "OTHER" and of course people can post a reponse to be more specific.
