Re: Official "Not Awarded Tix" Thread

Is everyone ready to start predicting the average ticket price from scalpers yet? I'm going to go with $800.

Re: New Burningman Ticket Process - 2012

Saying that this is a good idea and that people complaining are 'entitled' and 'whiners' is entitled in it's own self, maybe more so. the BMORG is just an institution, they can make bad choices, and as a community we can complain. Sometimes that changes things. I'm pretty sure there is a movement ac...

This is awesome. I am going to get a stamp made before I get out there and hopefully have some local SF stamps in my journal before hand. I hope I can find the box at the Booby Bar! *snicker*

Re: Greetings, Booby Bar bards and bartenders...

Looking forward to adding my boobies to the bountiful mix. Wonderful Finn has lured me to BM at long last... the great adventure awaits! I am a forest, meadow and water person by nature, but looking forward to the magical playa energy I have only heard about thus far. Can't wait to meet you good fo...

Good morning Boobarians! My partner, the as-yet unplayanamed Erin will be joining me this year, and I would like to introduce her here. I know she'll make a great addition to our kamp! She'll be along presently to take the Booby Pledge. Oooh, you are bringing a partner in crime? I need to find me o...

Arriving at home last night after my third burn I felt a wave of confusion hit me. I didn't know where I was. I didn't know why I'd had to leave, I didn't know what to do not seeing my camp mates that I'd seen every day. I met special people. I wanted them there every moment. I wanted to hold their ...

The storm lasted a pretty long time (I think 6 hours or so). It cleared just in time for the man to burn a little late. The precession and fire dancing was skipped making it a very "American" man burn (instant gratification). He just started fireworking, and then blew up a few times before toppling ...

Maybe we could have it inside the bar on the lounge side. At least then the wind (is it going to be windy this year?) wouldn't wreak havoc with dozens of scraps of paper... Yah, we can do something. It would be best to get a white board though. Those are so much more convenient and fun. We could al...

Nick, Did you have a time in mind for the procession? Last year you were at the mercy of someone else's offer to carry the boards in their art car - this year you have your own art car 8) So you get to choose! :D I do have that smallish A-frame corkboard/whiteboard thing I told you about right afte...

I have a corkboard. It isn't massive, but it's real and you can hold it in your hands and put things on it. Want me to bring it and place it somewhere nice? I'll get some tacks for it as well. Hopefully nice big ones that aren't easy to become MOOP.

I need to pack soon! I have to get everything together, see what I'm missing, see if my bike can be salvaged and used, see what sewing projects need to happen, get all the food, keep it frozen.

Oh my the days incoming will be filled with madness.

I can't wait to be out there again. Hooray!

Find a camp??? There's four of you... you ARE a camp! Make up a name, set up, and be merry! There is always that. It certainly isn't that we are a co-dependent group needing a larger entity to survive out on the playa, we just want to go out, meet some more people and experience a different vantage...

Group of 4 looking for a camp for the 2008 burn

Greetings! We are a tight-knit group consisting of 3 experienced burners and one virgin looking for a cool theme camp to be a part of for our 2008 burn. We are all hard working participants who love to make each other laugh and enjoy the entire process of playa life - from the pounding of rebar, to ...

The problem with naming the streets after authors or book titles is that it is somewhat like advertising. While I love reading, and think that it is not treated as important as it should be in this country, I don't think that we can go around using specific people or works as streets, it doesn't rea...

The idea of the Global Dream or something similar sounds much more appealing although I'm not an American and at the end of the day it's your festival. Why can't it be something more earth friendly, like say "The Global Dream." The original ideals of "The American Dream" are great, but that concept is so far corrupted that it feels to me like a trendy and politically driven theme. The creativity of theme based concepts for 2008 is instantly bottlen...

Except... not go. If you were that pissed about it you'd blow off BRC and start your OWN event. NOT buy a ticket, NOT be on this board, NOT feed the behemoth, and NOT be a sheep. Because... if enough people don't like it, and don't go, then it will cease to be such a potential lucrative property. P...
