Re: Who snagged the last 1,000 tickets?
yup.......... just enter in the email you registered with. Oh, we found that it may take quite a number of 'retries' entering in your email until the system locates a ticket for you. Just keep trying and trying and trying...........

I can't remember how close to the top of the tent the room divider goes, but there is no mesh on the material. I have only briefly used the divider, so i am not sure how adequate it will divide the tent. Good luck in your BM adventure this year. It looks like with all the loose dust on the playa thi...

The divider for the Eureka Headquarters tent is not quite floor to ceiling. I think there is a opening in the top of the divider. It is sort of irrelevant though, because the tent is 'Dust Free', so dust won't get into either side. (except if you open the windows or door during a dust storm.) We kee...

No top vents - 2 room tent
Here is a 2 room -- DUST FREE -- tent that we own. It is quite expensive (we got ours cheaper through e-bay), but worth it if you want to avoid dust. It has huge 'zipper windows', but no 'zipperless' vents in the top, and we have been nearly dust free since we started camping with this tent. It is a...

If you really don't want to use rebar, then consider what we have used for the past 7 years, which is threaded rod !! Much easier to use, works just as well, and is simpler to pull out. ( i put 2 nuts tightened together to make a nice lip on the top.) I usually cut them in 12 to 14 inch lengths. Get...

Oh forgot to mention, that in the morning we would just have to open up all the windows by 8 or 9am to keep the heat from building up too much before we actually got up. After we are up, then we zip everything up and keep it tight so that dust stays out day and night. This has kept dust out of our t...

Ok..... here is what we have done for years, and it worked even in high winds. We cut plastic the same size as the mesh, and then used the best packing tape we could find to tape it to the tent. We would overlap several rows of the tape to increase the tape down profile on the tent. Then we took sev...

Ok...... we doubt anything is really playa proof. Mostly, it is just a matter of using common sense and a lot of good staking and roping structures down. Something that many people don't want to do. So......... if you are not rich, and are on a budget, here is our suggestion for the folks that can't...

Hi...We have a lot of Burning Man documentaries....We show them to friends and acquaintances and their friends and acquaintances all year long....It's part of our "addiction" to relive those moments and to expose others to BM....We may be responsible for at least 150 virgins and a few theme camps......

big storm
good point about being "nosey but helpful" as you see your closeby neighbors set up their camps! We are weather watchers and knew about the potential Wednesday storms from the technical weather sites that post 10 day-out weather probabilities....There should be such URL's posted in the survival guid...

I've been watching to see the progress....The same view is on the Beatmap site, along with a great list of events...but the google earth site is much more trippy!!! more tent info
We can't speak with as much experience as the above posts, since we have only been to BM 6 times. However, i concure with the post, a cheap tent works fine if you can't afford the expensive ones. Here is what we did with the cheap tent 2 years ago, (nice thing about the cheap tent is that you don't ...

The Answer !!
Ok.........here is the answer to the question. What tent does not have the vents in the top, that let all the dust in? Well, 99% of all tents these days have those vents (with no zippers to close the vents). BUT, there are 2 that don't have the top vents !! They are both made by Eureka, the first is...
