Re: Moop Proliferation (?)

Thoughts? Experiences? Perspective? I've been coming since 2006 and have noticed more MOOP each year. This year's most interesting MOOP was an old, spent bullet casing. The most disgusting was a used, adult diaper in the port-o-potty. Really? Really??? Yes, our blue boxes were quite bad this year (...

Mine is thanks to SOMEONE near 7:30 and "F" who gifted oh so many of us with the late 70's tune that goes like,

"My baby takes the morning train,
he works from 9 to 5 and then,
he takes another home again..." etc.

This was blasted out EVERY morning at way-to-early o'clock.

I'd wish they'd hurry and post it. I thought it a big jump as well by adding 4 streets. Anyone get a preview of an actual map? (besides street names)

In this case, it was a little kid who apparently ran out in front of a car. I didn't see it--only heard it. Sounded plausible as I heard no brakes. I didn't know what the "thud" was until after I saw the aftermath.

Re: goddammit watch the bike lanes

Just saw a kid get nailed.. The car was judging if it could beat me.. He went for it.. I hit the brakes hard.. The kid was coming the other way on the side walk.. Knocked him into the drive lane.. I jumped off and into the lane.. Fucking cars just kept coming.. Some mom with a car full of kids bloc...

Pink Panty Pulldown

1 can pink lemonade
2 12 oz. Zimas
1 12 oz. domestic beer (like Bud, Coors)
vodka shots--about 4 or so. The more the merrier.

My wife tried this one...pretty good. Hard to believe a beer went into it.

I say go. You won't know if it's for you until you try it. Other than the alcohol issue, age has nothing to do with it.

Consider this your invitation. Your fate has now been decided. See you there.

I used a paper mask. I thought it a good compromise between function and comfort. (While not the best thing in a huge dust storm, it's adequate. When not windy, it's easily fit into a pocket should the need arise).

I had success last year with pre-made meals. Whatever the food item... it was fully cooked, then divided into individual portions, then frozen (using plastic bowls). After that, the item was taken out of the bowl and placed into a vacuum sealer thing (from CostCo) to remove the air. On the playa, th...

This year I'm not bringing the tent and will sleep in the van; I'm going to try a reflective tarp to keep it cool. This way, I'll use the CostCo thing for daytime shade.

Last year (my first), I brought a 10'x20' Costco carport. I never did get around to setting this up, but intend to this year. What is the best way to secure it to the ground? Guywired to rebar? FYI, last year I didn't set it up mostly due to procrastination/having too much fun, but I was worried abo...

Sand off any paint, have joints fit tight, and what are you building? Excellent time for an update report on m...

Hi Mike. I'll answer your first post with my first post. Yes, 2006--my first burn--was so much fun. I showed up on Wednesday, loved getting lost in a dust storm way out on the playa, and it kept getting better.

Can't wait for this year.
