Can you refrain from insulting people, and refrain from waking them up at inappropriate times?

How about the megaphone people go out to the playa and megaphone at each other? Then it is all voluntary activity, and no one is imposed upon.

I'm going to paint at bm, and staying at the sacred spaces camp (at their satellite between C and D and 5 and 5:30, in a white yurt). Haven't painted at bm before. Will use oils and dust is fine, too!

I am Dave, and this will be my fourth year at BM.
I volunteered a couple of years, but this year will put my yurt in a random neighborhood or, better, camp with a group of people interested in the arts.
Any ideas of how I might hook up with such?
I plan to paint BM scenes this year.

I thought it might be fun/useful for us to be in contact re this year's BM, perhaps for travel and other arrangements, or contacts at BM, or activities in our area. I am 57 and will probably be volunteering for the BM emergency services, and therefore plan to arrive at BM a day or two early.

My point is not that I object to a fee, but I do object to fees doubling each year and thereby ending Burning Man.

:?: I have heard that the Bureau of Land Management has doubled the playa use fee in each of the last 3 years. If that were to continue it would clearly end Burning Man.
Does anyone know if the fee is rising in this way?
If it is, we all need to act against this.
