I purchased a Springbar Vagabond 7 almost exactly a year ago. I bought it mainly for my annual work season for DPW, where I live about four weeks on the playa each year. I managed to use it two other times under normal (forested) conditions last year as well, but only a few days each time. I'm curre...

Gyre, I saw you in lots of the other tent threads I looked at. You're an enthusiast! Thanks so much :)

He didn't "offer" the option on the phone. I'm assuming if I call again next week and ask, I might have better luck, and still have plenty of time until August...

I'm preparing to invest in a Springbar tent. I spend roughly four weeks sraight on the playa each year, so I'd like something solid. Although, I spoke with Kirkham's on the phone today and learned the model I'm looking at, the Vagabond 7, doesn't come with a full door seal. The bottom of the door do...

It's my second time driving and my forth burn. I'm leaving from Fargo, ND. Last year I took the "[url=http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=fargo,+nd&daddr=Gerlach,+NV&hl=en&geocode=FQJKywId1Ro7-ilFcWeEjcvIUjHKqpEnpTCqgQ%3BFTBLbAIdzsji-CnVqe1Hm8qfgDEikB0tIY5V0A&mra=ls&sll=43.802819,-107.9...

Hey fish, thanks for your response. My girlfriend went for the first time last year as well, for similiar reasons. I think I ended up putting so much work into giving her the best experience I actually wattered it down somewhat. Maybe I have a complex and I want to re-experience the event through ne...

I have a close friend I've known for many years. He was present when I first started learning about BM and has seen me go the last few years. I recently started working with him and we've become much better friends. He's also expressed a lot of interest in coming out to the event, but he's played th...

I did see one that day, although that day was the worst and considering the visibility I wouldn't be surprised if there was more than one up there. We were at 5:30 & B in the early afternoon and I looked up and saw a bluish blob cascading through the sky, hundreds of feet in the air. It was so disti...

I'm doing a weekend (this weekend) in San Francisco. Other that BM origin's, is there anything the city is known for (or kept secret) that I should check out? I'm guessing nothing BM related is going on since the core is already out setting things up, sp I'm not sure where else to look, or who bette...

I concur. Last year's book was so user-unfriendly, I wondered if it was actually a ploy to discourage people from using it. Fortunately, I came meticioulously prepared. Everything that will be in the book is already listed on this year's Playa Event Calend...

Last year was my first. I'll agree there was too much electronic music, but that's not being very specific. Here's a link to show what I mean: http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html There was too much Psy-trance! I enjoyed it sometimes, but other times I felt like I couldn't escape it. I...

I have a Department of Public Works questions. I planned on volunteering with them this year, so I sent in an application and received a follow-up app that I sent in as well. Although, up until now I haven't heard anything back and I'm not sure how long it normally takes to know whether they'll be n...

I lost a Casio Exilim digital camera immediately after the man fell on Saturday. I got so excited I forgot I had it in my lap ^^
I don't know the model number, since I borrowed the camera, but the pictures of me in it are unmistakable:
