My wife flew in to the 2005 burn on Thursday afternoon. I was nervous all day, the pilot was someone we met on Craigslist, veteran burner and nice guy, but still a stranger. Waiting at the airport a huge wind = dust storm kicked up while their plane was still about 20 miles out. I was beside myself ...

rent a van/truck/suv with a trailer hitch, cargo trailers are affordable to rent for a week. We did that in 2005 and fit all of our gear and 6 bikes

hello all, this year will be my second burn, and since i got my ticket it is all i can think about. looking forward to all the great art and people. i have to consolidate my ideas and projects, but it looks like Leatherface's Texas BBQ, the best mystery meat sandwhich on the playa will return 2007!!!

definetely get her a good dust mask or ventilator, she won't always need to wear it but in a dust storm could save her trouble.

I am considering the Costco carport also, my only concern are the vents along the ridgeline, might be nice to vent hot air, but im worried about the dust factor.

I agree, use the white lightning prior to and while on the playa. Use the wd-40 when u return.

food vacuum sealers work great. you can boil right in the bags.
