Re: Any Burners in Nairobi?
So it turns out that there is more than a couple of Burners in Nairobi. The first of what will hopefully be a monthly gathering is next week. Just started a FB group to connect everyone. I'm gonna attempt to pull off a Santacon this Christmas, then a couple of themed parties to raise money for local...

Any Burners in Nairobi?
I know, it's an extreme long shot but if there are any Burners in Nairobi, Kenya, please get in touch. Even if you've found this a few years after it was posted. Hopefully, by the time you read this, I will have gathered a group of misfits for you to hang out with amid the conventional and unremarka...

Anyone with the passion to spend the time and effort required to submit an application for The Temple should have the opportunity to contribute to this year's temple. To this end, we're in the process of inviting the other crews to bring their particular skill sets and creativity to our project. We ...

Temple 2011
It's been less than a week since we heard that we got The Temple after a long and anxious wait. The news sunk in quicker than expected but I'm still pinching myself and we've already been inundated with responses and offers of help. Designing and building the temple this year really is a rite of pas...

Sounds like fun.
Megatropolis and Minitropolis will be there in miniature.
We've already made several scale models and burnt them. What's another one!
I look forward to seeing your camp in miniature including a tiny METROdome with a tiny scale model of BRC within it. It's microscope time!

The Rising Arms
I've managed to scrape some funds together and will be bringing a cooler too. I also intend to bring some concrete blocks and a varnished plank of wood for the pub bar. We'll put a curtain across the front and then we can hide the cooler behind the bar.
We're sooo gonna rock!

I just logged on for a little SL revision. My virtual bones are damn stiff as is to be expected after spending a year sleeping in a palm tree. Hey, we could all meet up one day! Perhaps there's a mutilated Barbie or virtual Star Shade we can all gather under for drinks. I go by the name Roamer Burne...

You could check out Burning Life . The gate opens at noon SLT on 17 Oct, but allow a good few hours to become acclimatised - choose your avatar, pick up some clothes, have a wander, learn how to dance and fly. The basics are quite self explanatory. I joined Second Life last year because I found out ...

Hagey did endure both the 2005 theft and 2007 RV fire through donations and insurance, and does indeed still burn. He camped with and supported Couchsurfing Camp this year, selling/lending the BRIBH shade tower to them. On playa, Hagey being Hagey, liking to keep options open and mobile, ended up ne...

Most of the porta-potties at 3:00ish were zip-tied by Monday afternoon. They left a couple open in each set. I didn't see any queues when I was there. I left the playa on the Wednesday morning last year and the playa was very empty. I think the folks remaining were mainly DPW, center camp breakdown ...

London Decom 2008
For those of you not subscribed to Playadust, some early info. London Decom this year is on Friday 5th December and the party will run from 9:00pm to 6:00am. Venue is yet to be announced but it is spectacular, in central London and has LOTS of outdoor space too which means lots of flame fun. Tickets...

Kiwi - you know I'd love to be there but won't be able to make it to the other side of the planet for a couple of years. But when I do get there I'll make sure I'm there for a few months so I can get well and truly stuck in. For anybody that can get there - just go. Kiwis certainly know how to party...

Hiya Cookie, glad you had a great virgin Burn. Let's face it; if you can't have a great time at BRC then there's not much hope for you as a human being. As you're based in London you'll be able to get your fix of Burners throughout the year. There's a fortnightly gathering at Burning Pub and various...
