Missed Connection on Sat Night. I was Strawberry Short Cake
Dear Oren from Miami or perhaps it was Warren, You joined my group of friends after the burn as we were making our way to Nexus. You were in a pirates coat and a masquerade mask and I was dressed as Strawberry Short Cake. You hung out with us for most of the night. I didn't get your info, but you go...

Re: Burningman Church
Your friend (or you) could start by making a new thread that is titled "Burningman Church". The label is like a bouquet. Good luck. I had thought of that towards the end of my post. My initial intention was only to ask if anyone knew of a theme camp search engine. I'd be more interested in finding ...

Theme Camp search program?
Does this exist anywhere? It'd be so nice to be able to type in some keywords that you want or don't want to help you find what you're looking for. Going through that long long list is tiresome. If no one knows of something like that then could anyone suggest a camp that would suit my friend. He is ...

There are a few groups of burners in the Denver/Boulder area. I haven't personally met up with any of them but I've heard about them. Here's some links, hope they help =) Lots of resources here http://www.ColoradoBurners.com/ Local Burn http://www.apogaea.com/ I know that there are burners who meet ...

Hey, none of you know me, but you may recall my friends who camped with you last year. Daryl and Chris from Boulder. I just thought I'd say that they plan on returning to the camp this year. They're not often on the internet otherwise I'd leave it to them to express their interest on here. I may be ...

Personally, I enjoyed myself more at the Root Society. I'm so glad you made this post too cause everytime I went there I forgot to check out the whole name so all I knew it by was Society. The music rocked my world, the ribbon dancers were awesome, there was always a good crowd, and the dj booth was...

Perhaps it's the lack of broad leaf forests? Such a silly reason I know But just wait till you are walking through a tunnel of golden quaking aspens in September, or strolling admist incredible wildflowers in July with an unbelievably blue sky overhead. 10% humidity, no biting insects or mosquitos....

I'm moving to Colorado right now but I have a strong feeling I won't like it for a longterm stay? As someone who grew up in Tennessee, lived in Atlanta for 13 years, and now lives in Denver, I can tell you that it will take some adjustment, but after three years, you'll never go back. The people he...

What theme camp do you plan to visit?
I've been browsing through the 2007 theme camp list and have noticed a few that I'd like try and pay a visit to. It makes me wonder what camps everyone else wants to see. I know some camps don't make it and I hear that once at bm it's hard to stick to a plan with so many options available, but surel...

My dad shared this one with me. There's this guy. He's just getting off work and has had a long week, a long day, and is just dog tired. Since he really wants to get home he speeds a bit on the drive back. Unfortunately a cop pulls him over and once he is standing at the guy's window he says, "You w...

Asheville based theme camp?
Hey, I was wondering if there is an Asheville (NC) based theme camp? I'm considering moving there in the future and would love to meet some people from there. I've looked over the 07 theme camp listing in the A section but didn't see anything. I wouldn't know what else to look for other than that. T...

well, first of all, you can actually take a bit with you on the Greyhound, sometimes even a bike if you call ahead... though if I take the bus I will not be hassling with a bike, since I'd have to wheel it at every transfer point, and I doubt that they would let me ride it in the terminal :) but ye...

AntiM, don't you go on apologizing. Better a few harsh words on a BBS than getting your ass kicked out of your ride mid trip when the driver learns you got contraband. I wouldn't have a hint of hesitation kicking out someone like that on the side of the road. Nothing personal ladies. I don't know, ...

Hey, I don't get to do violent criticism often, it's performance art here. But really, such a suggestion is better off in a private message, and even then, be leery. We all want to go home with no unfortunate side trips. Oh, and I'm horribly allergic to smoke, so I tend to get a bit shrill on the s...

It seems like these days almost everyone smokes so if you're a partaker and have a stash your fellow driver may be happy to recieve that as payment instead. What a fucking stupid arrogant assumption, what incredibly stupid fucking advice. No one gets in our vehicles with a stash. Get your own damn ...

I know the feeling of wanting to have it all settled. It drives me crazy not having my plans set. Depending on how adventurous you feel you could hitch hike out to BM. The closer you got to Nevada the more people you would probably run into who are going and you might have an easier time hitching a ...

Hi Lakshmi Hate to burst your bubble but the first two links you sent out are only for the shade material for the walls surrounding the gazebo. There's no actual gazebo structure included. The third link doesn't include any of the poles, just the sail with some hardware to clip it to poles that you...

Those first two look like good options, and slave-labor cheep to boot! The third seems to cast too small a spot of (roaming) shade to be of a lot of help. If you were to buy the second option, you could add fabric to the walls yourself, to make it more adjustable. And more prettified. Yeah, I think...

So I think I'm going to end up attending BM alone (first time too) and I'd rather buy a shade structure than design my own. It seems like less work plus I'm not very architecturally savey so all the build-it-yourself shade structure instructions seem too advanced for me. That and I'm too lazy to go ...
