BM households and communal living
I love living with other people. In my current household the whole point was to set up a place where it feels communal and supportive and creative and like a family. A bit like a great burning man camp. Are there other folks out there who have made a point of setting up communal households? Ever liv...

Re: Suggestion
I'd missed that Silver had already suggested tagging. Somebody called this sexist. Sure it's sexist. I still think it's worth it anyhow since guys are 99% of the problem.Silver wrote:ALL MALES MUST BE TAGGED

Have the boys wear badges
This past year we created a new system for the party. The rule is simple: All males present must be in service either at a service station or clearly in the DESIRED company of a Female Guest. Hi Captain E, This goes with what you said. The organizers did an incredible job. Still, there's always roo...

30,000 men enter
I think in 96 it was "Hellco" year. That probably would have been a bit much for what I like. The "Body" year was fun. I thought that "beyond belief" was too open ended and mushy of a theme. Some ideas for a theme that probably go too far... - blood - the destroyer - louder then loud - the human org...

A celebration of life.
Not more of the usual. Increased freedom zone. The way the world should be. A celebration of life. Thanks AForceForGood. I've hit most of those ones (and ratical self expression) fairly well. They're all super vital!!!! www.supersnail.com/concept was an attempt to get many of those photos. Figuring...

Re: stuff I have learned out there
Thanks actiongrl. As always, I love the way you think!
This is just the kind of thing I was hoping for.
For me, each of the things you wrote is a photo assignment. Each is a story to try and tell by putting together existing photos.

Just do it
Humans have a need to express themselves. We just do. Making visuals are one way. I remember this guy who was wearing one of the most outragous outfits I'd seen at Burning Man. He was saying how he wasn't an artist. If you wanna make art, do. Doesn't have to be "good". It's about expressing what's i...

It's just a big dumb party
If you were gonna give a message to the world about part of what Burning Man stands for, what message would you broadcast? Some answers suck: - Burning shit is fun. - Sex and more sex. - All money should be burned. - Party!!!! Got any good answers? Thanks! -julian snail www.supersnail.com p.s. I'm w...

Yup, quite true.
Something to Consider... If you've not done so you might consider discussing the idea of a book with members of the ORG just to see what - if any - obligatory hoops you might be required to jump through. I've been talking with em for 6 years and don't plan to stop. Also, keep in mind that even if s...

All guys are respectful at Burning Man
I'm working on a book project of portraits of people at Burning Man. FYI: This was the project for 2003... www.supersnail.com/concept There's one page in the book where I want to address guys who are a problem. I'd like to put some quotes from the community (you folks) about advice for (and complain...
