LEO Encounters

Because of the increased empahsis this year on policing the police I went into the event with the best of intentions and hoping that by talking to LE my own little smoothing out of space would help. I talked to every single law enforcement officer I came across for the first few days of the event in...

Evolution... Perfect theme

Hmmm... Darwin... Evolution being a quantifiable science... these are indeed facts that objective science has proved, but what most scientists have failed to realize is that group pressures on organismal evolution are much more important to our species survival than simple changes in DNA at this poi...

Time on the playa

As other people have already mentioned... you can get in early. Volunteer with a department that you can get early arrival with, or start a theme camp. I was in on Thursday before the event this year. Most theme camps will get early arrival passes for at least Friday before the event. I was there fr...

Or big latex dummies of politicians and a full size wrestling ring to kick the dummies asses in... could be pretty...

what I like about the US of A

24 hr everything, and cheap shit (esp 24hr fitness, and WALMART), and cheap gas (relatively speaking) ... gas is 1.37 euros per liter now in Vienna...

the cheap buffets in Vegas...

It it were expensive... I'd have to settle for all of the natural beauty.

Couchsurfing

I recently joined a website called couchsurfing.com ... I'm guessing many of you have heard of it. I realized when I was in Barcelona being hosted with 4 other couchsurfers in a 3 bedroom flat that there are more than enough homes for everyone that is in need. It really boils down to a lack of coope...

Some of that general temperment and freak out section reminds me of camping out and canoeing in Quetico Provincial Park in Canada... our group leader always said that shit hits the fan on Day 5.
