quantanamo will call

after the weird theme (couldnt it just have been dream or universal dream or anything else?!) and all of the nasty prohibitive signs on the way in, i was shocked and appalled to see my fellow burner brethren lined up in a blocking type fashion and prevented from leaving the will call area right afte...

freestyle flying with a kite??

has anyone done this? as in take a stunt kite or kiteboarding kite and just run and jump and catch tiny drafts. obviously im not talking about flying around the perimeter of the event this way, but if i could be picked up even like 2 feet higher than i jumped i would be insanely happy about it.

We are coming from Southern California (LA plus maybe a pickup in SD). Getting a trailer is the least difficult part; getting something to pull it with seems the most costly.

Any ideas cheaper than renting a truck plus paying for all that mileage?

Tips for getting art installation to the playa

Can anyone provide recommendations on the CHEAPEST way to transport about a 10' moving truck worth of art installation equipment to and from the playa?

Thanks,

MAKE magazine has a beginner microcontroller kit and tons and tons of LED projects, big and small, posted online by their users. I'm learning on the 'What is a BASIC stamp microcontroller?' kit from RadioShack. Expensive, but invaluable - especially if you work in science and/or have an interest in ...
