Re: Gifts?
[quote="JEM2387"]'Ello all. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the correct area (if not please tell me the correct place) but I have an idea for what I am going to do for gifts this year. However I am going to need your help. I'm going to need your favorite quotes/sayings. They can be poems, quotes...

Make your camera "uniquely" yours
Speaking as someone who took in a few cameras at Play Info lost & found, do something to your camera to make it uniquely yours. That way if you do lose your camera and it is found it will be much easier to unite you with your camera. Also be sure to read the rules for 2008 personal use camera regist...

My parents were born in '32 and '33 during the depression and were definitely affected by it. My mother's father was a barber and lived a solid middle class life mainly in Wisconsin where he did a fair amount of hunting, fishing, etc... Her aunts and uncles were farmers and such. She was the second ...

I just listened to the songs you have posted on myspace and I'd definitely come to see you if you play on the playa. If you can't get the band there maybe you can find some musicians who are going who can back you so that you can perform if you do make it there. Good luck and I hope that you have a ...

I used the "tall" Coleman queen size bed last week while visiting my son and I have to give it a thumbs down. It was comfortable enough, but with our pillowtop on it the bottom sheet didn't stay on it and we had roving bottom sheets (which I can't stand.) I will reiterate our love of the regular siz...

We've had no real problems with our double bed size Coleman mattress. We've had it for two years and have used it both of our times at BM. We bought the one with the mattress pad that zips on top. I think there's memory foam under it as well, but I don't remember for sure. We put a synthetic pillow ...

I don't know if it's too early to fill out the form, but you might want to check out the topic I started in the Experiences at Burning Man forum. I asked for peoples best and worst volunteer experiences and related mine after coming back this year.

I start my playa foot prevention program a week before heading out. I put a liberal amount of lotion on my feet every day during that week. While on the playa I use wet wipes to clean my feet every morning and then lotion them. I'll also clean and lotion them before going to bed if they seem a bit d...

I'm already planning. I'm also going to do some prep work now that I waited to do until just before playa time this year. I'll be doing playa bicycle maintanence when I finally get them out of the trailer before they go into storage. I'm also starting to look for things to use for gifting next year ...

This was only my second year at Burning Man, but I thought I noticed a huge increase in the percentage of people wearing street clothes compared with 2006. I don't disagree that everyone should wear what they want to, but I consider wearing what you usually do in the default world to be more spectat...

I worked at Playa Info this year and was flabbergasted at the number of under prepared and ignorant attendees. The worst part is that some of these folks were the people who were coming into PlayaInfo on Saturday and Sunday before the event even started. A number of new attendees were associted with...

Overall I'm disappointed by the theme, but I don't think it's absolutely horrible. I think if one takes this portion of the description ... Ask yourself, instead, a more immediate question. What has America achieved that you admire or feel proud of? What has it done or failed to do that makes you fe...

Biggest virgin lesson
1. Do your prep work off the playa. 2. Always take extra water out on the playa. As virgins last year we were fairly well prepared overall according to our campmates. We did however end up finishing projects (el-wire sewing, decoration preparation, etc...) on the playa. There was some pressure to ge...

Best & Worst Volunteer Experiences At Burning Man
I'll be returning to the playa this year for my second time home. Last year was my virgin year and I had an amazing time. I'm want to participate more this year than I did last year. I think one of the best ways for me to participate is to volunteer. I searched the forum and didn't find any topic qu...

I'd call the music I like most alternative pop, noise pop and alternative rock, but I listen to other things as well.
