well, first of all, you can actually take a bit with you on the Greyhound, sometimes even a bike if you call ahead... though if I take the bus I will not be hassling with a bike, since I'd have to wheel it at every transfer point, and I doubt that they would let me ride it in the terminal :) but yes...
