Remember the guys they used to pay at shopping malls to have people take surveys and test products and all that crap when all you wanted to do was go in and look at the lizards in the pet store? I read the article a second time, carefully, and I think I know why something in me loved what it was hearing the first time, while fearing what it was reading...
