Gas vs. Electric Golf Cart

What are the advantages/disadvantages of a Gas vs. Electric golf carts?

I've heard various things about both, distance they can go, how to charge, random dust problems, and was just curious what peoples thoughts were about them. Is it worth a little extra dough to get one over the other?
