Re: Mutating Mad Max style vechile with mobile dance cage
That would be ideal. I think it would make a great addition to other art cars that throw deep playa parties with good sound. It won't make it out to playa this year. We are stress testing the design at Wasteland Weekend this year. When we get back we will have 11 months to plan for how to make it ab...

I totally respect yours and Drawingablank's comments. Bob's however had no constructive criticism and was blatantly unnecessary.Ugly Dougly wrote:Truth? It's been done to death.PEZ wrote: I hope you all like it, we'd love to hear what you think about the design.

Re: Mutating Mad Max style vechile with mobile dance cage
There are plans for a large exposed sprocket and motorcycle chain setup with motor to automate the arms and the top platform that hinge up from the back of the vehicle. We also want to bring an arm out to the side with a net hammock seat. We would like to mount one of those earth chainsaws that dig ...

Re: Mutating Mad Max style vechile with mobile dance cage
The render is a concept and the project is in progress. It will have many more modifications and decorations than are shown in the render before it even reaches Wasteland Weekend 2012, let alone playa next year. Plus doesn't the Death Guild roll around in some vehicles that still look like trucks or...

Mutating Mad Max style vechile with mobile dance cage
Hello beautiful burners! I'm Sean, the lead designer and project manager for a community art project. Over here in little old Santa Ana, CA a group of talented artists, craftsmen, and creatives are working on a mutant vehicle. The project is code named: Char-O-Lot. We are turning my truck, Charlotte...

At first read I saw "With the right seasonings I may be able to taste like bacon."Daddy-O wrote:With the right seasonings I may be able to make it taste like bacon. YUMMMMMY
Anyway, I only eat bacon at burning man but having the animals around would provide for some food in the event of the apocalypse.

Please don't make the mistake of thinking that volunteering for DPW is a way to get your dog in to the event. The animals that are there and their owners have paid their dues over a long period of time. I have aspirations to volunteer for DPW whether or not it means my dogs coming with me thank you...

To all the stick-in-the-mud negativos out there. I guess I might have mentioned that this will be a sober year for me at the burn regardless if I would have my dogs or not. Also, my dogs go with me pretty much everywhere. I am lucky enough to work out of my home most of the time and when I work off ...

Playa dogs?
I know that bringing your dog to burning man is shunned upon, not allowed, and a harsh environment for an animal that cannot easily adapt on it's own. I have had to leave my little guy at home with my roommate these past two years of having him and I know that is pretty hard on him. I now have a new...

I hate the nudity. I hate the implacable sun. I hate the pesence of law enforcement. I hate the lawless frontier fee...

Many years ago my Mom saw a pregnant women hunched over her car and went to her aid. When she got close to her, she saw that the woman was hunched over from laughing very hard and not in pain. The woman told my Mom what happened... she was on her way to her doctor's office with a sample of her pee ...

Considering most sweat lodge ceremonies take place after the sun goes down there will definitely be a cool down when people come out, even in the middle of the desert summer. I personally would prefer the sweat to be as natively ritualistic as possible. Not to keen on the idea of gas heated rocks. S...

I bought 70% block aluminet. It is mylar mesh, and has not so much as a small tear in it, after using it the last two years. Really holds up in wind, and allows critical ventilation. It had to be 15-20 degrees cooler under the aluminet. I bought a 13 X 21 sheet for $100, the green house supply stor...

Yes, very cool looking, but yes, very dirty. Yeah, the ones I saw that seemed to be playa dust were not necessarily circles like that. They were more like whirl winds detached from the surface of the playa. The reason I say whirl winds instead of dust devil is because I was talking with an old burne...
