Re: Suggested Solution to BM Ticket Sale Dilemma For 2013
The OP has it right, the first thing i heard out of my friends mouth when they announced the system for this year was "a lot of people are gonna get paid". I am trying not to be cynical but i do not see any legitimate way a team of people who had any clue could have made this policy. Not being an Ey...

Re: What constitutes "low income"? (talk amongst yourselves
One of the things that breaks my heart--or at least bends it hard--about the low-income discussions is seeing how much people hate the poor. If you're poor you should never have any fun, or vacation, or any break in the utter misery of your daily routine of eating your cold can of spam and applying ...

What i found
The best year for me was last year when i switched tactics, i guzzled water like a japanese bukakke whore for the first two days, no drinking, relaxed met people in the slower paced camps. Then once i was juicey as a nectarine, i eased in the booze as the week ramped up, always swapping it with ice ...

Not necessarily the best place to fly into, im based out of slc, which is more of a major metro area and air hub, we have people every year flying in and then taken grocery shopping by me. Then its just a fun 6 hour drive (even more fun because you get to take more clothes off as you go :)

To quote angels in america: "It's something you learn after your second theme party, its all been done before" I suspect when and if the time comes that burning man becomes coachella, people will naturally already be seeding and growing the next species of event. It happens in nightlife, religion, a...

I have worn.
I have worn everything from steel to redwood to bone out there and never had any issues in 3 years. The problems people have out on the playa are usually more related to their hydration level, and their *juicey* factor. I get away with running around barefoot or in flip flops for a week with no prob...

Thank you very much for this information. Too bad that this is last minute news and that those running the decompression couldn't have provided data on this matter much much much earlier. Not sure that we can go now as work sort of wants us to give a little notice before taking the time off. :( Hop...

I think the official injury count for the slide was 50+? It was hilarious to watch the people at night, if you have ever seen penguins pushing eachother into the water to check for predators you know what im talking about. Drunk girls flying down 5 at a time smashing into eachother at the bottom fas...

Military camo shade structure
Hey guys i wanted to get some feedback/ideas for this year on our shade structure. We are doing a small flying spaghetti monster themed bar and enclosure out of the military desert camo netting. This is our third year, and the first two we came in a small group of friends and basically just camped l...
