Re: eplaya Meet & Greet 2019!

I know I’m a leading proponent of the “screw this” movement, but I think I a whole lot of the old eplaya crowd has just had enough. I’ve only got a small handful of friends who still go. The old eplayans kinda need to start a new, underground thing that totally sucks because it’s in a horrible plac...

Re: eplaya Meet & Greet 2019!

OK Eplayans. I get it. You are too caught up in the event to make the M&G. Really?! The camp that hosted us was closed just for us. All of 6 people showed up. I saw eplaya faces at their camps all through the week but no one came. The crowd dwindles every year as FB becomes more popular. I whole he...

Some people make me ashamed to be human. White dogs don't hate black dogs. I think there's full spectrum hate being exhibited these days. Your example would hint that it's a white thing. While that's obviously true for certian parts of our society I'd say it is far from a majority. You don't need t...

I hope this is my last trip to the Temple to post a memorial in my lifetime. My father, Korean War combat veteran. and 20+ year peacetime soldier, peacefully passed away this Monday morning. Why is it that asking your race on the census form isn't racist (they do in fact ask that) but whether or not you're a citizen of the United States is racist. Seems to me it should be the other way around. Doc, did you watch the short video that SSE posted above? Clear, concise and right to the poi...

I haven’t read much about what kind of platform he has yet. I do like the fact that he donated a lot of money to defeat certain politicians. Great question, there really isn't a FAQ thread here for that. This is a very recent, (last year and this year) issue. With the promotion that everyone be in a registered/placed theme camp, us open campers have been squished out to the last outer road. For years, we camped at 3:30 and J, arriving S...

Re: Sleep apnea burners, are you out there?

I built a non powered humidifier, that works pretty well. 5 gallon bucket, air plenum and high surface area material, so air flowing over it picks up enough moisture to help, and it uses way less power, since you're not running the heater for the humidifier to work. Otherwise, tech is about the same...

Re: Dry Ice in a FigJam?

Let's not. Dry ice has to offgas and some CO2 will escape even if it's wrapped in plastic. Otherwise the plastic wrap will swell until it bursts. The bucket cooler would suck CO2 gas and inject it into someone's tent or structure where they are likely sleeping. The nap would start off great, but co...
