Well, it's time for a major change. I'm retiring the Tancorix ID here and now. It's been a good name, but it's time to go back to the name everyone knows me as online and off. So with that, I'll raise a small toast to myself with the wheat beer that's sitting in the cooler ready to go and close thin...

I know a bunch of people climbed up for the zip slide or whatever the rope thingee was over on the 10:00 side of the city last year. And I'd say that was at least 30 ft high.

After the event this year I met a Japanese man who was riding across America, he left SF, headed to LA then East to the Grand Canyon where someone told him about Burning Man. He rode all the way up there, stayed the whole week and was last seen riding East alongside the UPRR tracks heading towards W...

That looks like fun but after the first good dust storm I'd hate to clean that thing. And if it's not anchored down right I can imagine the FAA tracking that as an airspace violator.

ABBA? What'cha going to do after that, tickle 'em with a feather? If you want to annoy someone, you play music like this: http://www.wingtunes.com/public/samples.aspx.

Click on that link and the samples at your own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Until the Rebbi tracks down all of his magical items I am bringing in one brand spanking new case of Wheat Beer. And I'll pull out my river knife, break the plastic covering the box and leave the unsullied boxes for anyone to enjoy....unless they want to take their chances on a mixed drink that coul...

I thought IT was talking about the copy of Free BSD running on the Costco servers out there...or at least that's what I was told they used when I asked. But if that doesn't satisfy ya, I also like Robotland's comment....there's a bunch of "geeks" out there.

I can't think of any justification for sabotaging someone's generator or doing emergency surgeries on it, period. Who knows, that generator could be the primary power source for someone's oxygen generator or APAP machine and sabotaging it could create a world of problems or worse for someone....just...

I have several sledgehammers but the arbor press is the way to go. Harbor Freight has 'em cheap, Grizzly has some bigger ones if you need the extra squish power. For clean presses with straight lines and max control over what the final angles turn out like, you can't beat the arbor press.

This has certainly degraded past being useful. Unless the discussion cannot return so some semblance of civility and stay on the Edit Discussion , there is no use in keeping this open. I disagree that the topic has moved beyond control. In fact except for Don's reaction the board hasn't had a chanc...

If there's ever a place where you can let go and do things you would normally never dream of doing, the playa is it. This past year saw me go blue, literally. So much for shyness, I watched a group of people a block past Center Camp spraying people down with various colors of dyes. I watched and wat...

I love this idea, it's kinda like what the Earth Guardians do as they setup tours of the best playa friendly systems for showering, grey water reclamation, etc. so others can get ideas for themselves. I'd also like to learn from the builders the pitfalls they encountered, what they used to flatten t...

When it comes to thread ownership I feel it should be an all or nothing situation, either implement it for all threads or none. And while it works on the smaller scale 3Playa I can't see it working in this free wheeling melee over here. Also from a technical perspective is there a mod to allow this ...
