Not a DnB camp, but we'll be bringing sound and playing many genres, including DnB. If you want to plan ahead and MC over our sets, that'd be sweet. We'll have to keep in touch.

Who WERE those DJs?

Late on burn night, at the camp just to the left of the Opulent Temple with the big circular canvas smiley face and massive subwoofers. These guys were tag teaming, and playing some of the most unique, deep down gritty, funky, weird tribal techno stuff. One of them looked like he was wearing a pink ...

One beer coming up.

So, what's the best chai? Every time I read this board, I'm reminded of how long it's been since I've had a decent cup.

Cool, I'll look into it. I was hoping to go to a rave and get busted by the SWAT team and the National Guard, but I'm not sure if I can fit it into my schedule.

'Night.

So, anyone know what's fun in Utah? I'm leaving tomorrow for a business trip, if I can find something entertaining to do there this weekend, all the better.

I'm going to have to hand off bartending duties and get some sleep.

Good night.

Hi, and welcome. Martinis all around.

Weird weather today. Hot, humid, and rainy. Crazy lightning last night, too. Can't remember the last lightning storm like that that I've seen in CA. I've seen some great ones in Arizona.

And if you can't be bothered to mix it with a chainsaw, don't bother. It might as well be on the rocks.

I just did a man pf on a fairly recent linux distro and no dice. update- aha. I see pf is a fairly recent addition to openbsd. and it looks like it is neck and neck with iptables for performance. It is hard to gauge because of the new changes in the latest distros of iptables and pf. Hmmm, I think ...

Good question, I have been thinking about the possibility of building a go-kart with an array of detectors to scan for sunken rebar and such. It'd be interesting to hear from anyone with experience on this.

Aah, FreeBSD. The vasty superior operating system, with the management issues. Oh where it could be today. I still prefer it to Linux as a server OS, also. Then again, working in a BSD shop with a bunch of FreeBSD contributors pobably didn't Linuxize my outlook any, either.

They probably didn't get the package because they didn't want to do the monkey dance that the post office workers were trying to force them to "gift" in order to get their mail. Personally, I don't see how making someone degrade themselves for your own amusement to be deemed worthy of your services ...

I agree, it was way to bright this year. In years past I always enjoyed the dark window that opened up between 10 and 2 as you look out over the playa. This year all the art cars made me feel like I was surrounded with light at all times, I could not escape it. The spot lights polluted the sky and ...

Yeah, that's unreasonable. I brought a large system, but camped as close as possible to 10:00, out in BFE, and never played for more than a couple hours a day (and never too late into the night/morning). We got one request to turn it down, which we did, before that person decided to move camps. The ...

I know that one of my friends has trouble seeing at night anyway, and was having particular difficulty at the event, even with a good headlamp. Gotta have lights, but any object in the open playa really should be illuminated.

I heard that someone set up a big ass ladder that you could easily fall off of and die... I don't think it's a good idea to intentionally try and hurt people, but did you really look at that contraption and think, "I bet it'd be safe to hang out right here while thousands of pounds of steel are flai...

I don't think that banning them outright because a few people ride too fast is the right way to go. I've never brought a scooter (though I wanted to this year), but I hate the idea of punishing everyone for the actions of a few. Confiscate offending scooters, at least that targets the problem. Besid...

Pair o' sites!

Someone said the water in the spray trucks may be contaminated with Giardia, and I wasn't too worried about it since I had only been misted once, and on the lower body only (can't catch it by breathing mist). On the way home, I started getting sick to my stomach and throwing up after trying to down ...
