Will an HES F-100 fogger survive the playa?

Or will I end up with a clogged & dead machine? I find that many [american made] moving lights made by HES survive fine. Just not sure how the industry's most bullet-proof fogger will handle the dust.

Under that definition, an entirely different list of theme camps come to mind. And I'm betting there's room for more people at some of them.

I'm not sure how you might define "top", but if you're looking for the inner esplanade camps that are well organized and have been around for a long time, its quite a bit late to be looking. Most of the well-known theme camps have closed their lists months ago. But don't fret, you'll have just as mu...

The plexi glass box idea has been suggested, but I'm not too keen on it. I think I'm just going to take them out with no protection, blow them out everyday, keep them protected until nighttime, and bring a big box of extra parts. If its a loss, so be it, they're only trackspots. Additionally, I talk...

So i've decided to use 8 trackspots and 8 weatherized AF1000 dataflashes with Lightwave LCD controllers for both. They will be used on the exterior of an art car and covered up during the day. The dataflashes will survive the weather with no maintenance. The worry is the trackspots. I plan on blowin...

If you need a system to run ande be used over the whole week and you don't want to be protective of it, use a Panasonic Toughbook. One of those took an ak47 round in iraq and is still running (it did need a new screen, tho). they're also dust and water resistant (resistant, not proof)

Clarifications: The lights are all mine. They wil be on the outside of the vehicle. They will run for 7-10 days during all nights and if required, wrapped up each morning. They will be removed and cleaned every 2-3 days. The cleaning will include a blow out of the interior of the unit and a light cl...

Intelligent Lighting surviving the Playa

Yeah, its awhile to go b4 the playa. and i never post here (this may actually be post #1), but its getting time to figure this out... I'm trying to figure out what fixture I can take, put on our art car, and get home in 1 piece. Power is no problem. I'm thinking about taking 8 trackspots and a stack...
