I wont bring seafood without dry ice again.
Hell, I wont bring so much food next time. Yeah, right.
Won't bring so many freaking AA batteries for my EL wire.

Will bring more costumes/accessories.
Will bring more EL wire (damn, there goes the battery thing)

Those are nice pics but I got bored after awhile trying to find the onecovering where we were camped. Maybe next year I'll put a big target on top of my shade shelter, maybe spell out "Look here ya big dummy!"

Well, it's good to see the Karma Gods and Goddesses never forget. I'm very likely the one person who won't miss the rathole Empire store with their ripoff prices, horrible customer service and attitude, and just an overall shitty layout that made getting in and out of there a major pain in the ass....

This too was my virgin year. Arriving Monday at the start of that gnarly dust storm was quite the challenge. Having read everything I could over the previous year, talking to whomever I ran across to get their perspective, advice etc gave me some insight as to what to expect. But no amount of prepar...

Re: silkcocking

random dream sharing: Last night I had a dream that I was wearing these wonderfully soft layers of silk, some sort of dress/wings/robe thing. It felt so delightful in the heat of the desert. In the middle of the dream, I then recalled having read the post on eplaya from Dork about wearing a silk ki...

On my list of things I'm glad I brought to burning man: dr. bronner's peppermint soap. I brought some last year, and it got lost in the dark recesses of the "other stuff" bag in the car. This year I used it, and enjoyed it so much, that I am using it at home too. The smell is very invigorating, rea...

A little off the main subject...but are in-tent thefts common? As in, if I were to leave my tent for the day/night to go exploring, would I have to worry about someone pillaging my belongings snugly tucked away in there, and if so, is there a way to lock a tent, (haha)? I'll be camping alone, so I ...

Drove by my local Buffalo Wild Wings this morning, saw people camping out for free wings for a year. Looking at the little tent village that had sprung up, listening to the music, checking out the peeps hanging out, SMELLED BACON!!!! Reminded me of the burn. :( it's gonna be a long year.
