Yo I go to school at Cabrillo in Aptos. You're welcome to camp with my camp. We're from all over California, mainly up north more, but a few from the bay area. We're all laid back, artistic, musically oriented folk. Oh and yes, welcome! :D

Hold on

Wait, hold on here..eat a one-eye matt. Some of the biggest providers on the playa are those that promote their method of interaction (ie Music, food, art) the most. Promotion doesn't always have to carry commercial motives. Burning Man IS a place for promotion. Promotion of several things, includin...

What about those handheld lightshow type laser things? I saw two people with them in the Playa Go Round dome one night and was captivated. They look like flashlights, but the light is filtered through concentric circle slots, so it appears to be a bunch of light circles dancing around. They were pre...

Hmm, fire conclave anyone? I saw some moves that I'd actually never seen before this year too. Triple J, Jay the Japanese Jew was tearing it up so hard and even spun for a while at our camp. Still gotta get those pics out to him... The wind was a biggie as I understand it in the factor of even burni...

Ahh, yes. Perfect suggestions. We've got plenty of time to experiment with different methods of dust protection. The pantyhose idea is great! I'll have to give that search function another go too. We can actually probably fit the mixer in a large freezer bag too, I didn't even think about that. High...

Dust proofing our sound system.

What's the best way to do it? This will be the first year that our camp will be bringing out a sound system for late night thumping. I've already read up on the sound policy and understand that communication with our neighborlies is the best approach in high sound levels, or camping on an end. I've ...

I haven't had any interactions as of yet with the LEOs in black rock city. But all of the Rangers I've met and talked with on and off the playa seem pretty reasonable, creative, and inviting. They're a great first step in most sorts of happenings that a LEO would pounce on. Oh and a buddy of mine wa...

Re: Rock Lobster

[quote="Steel Kitty"]Falk, that already happened. We had the misfortune (or were somehow damned in hell on the way there) of locating next to the "art" car covered in plush, cutesy toys blaring a repeating tracklist that included the venerable B-52's Rock Lobster. Over. And Over. And Over again for ...

Favorite DJ's, musical artists, bands..2008!

Joachim Garraud blew my fecking mind away on Friday night at the domes, what a surprise. I had so much fun, the vibe was crazy that night and I could feel the energy from everyone else.

Any performances that especially made your day/night/moment?
