i think i may just stick to the big hard plastic container.... takes up less space, and prolly a lil more fool proof..

how much are those walmart blinky things?

this may sound stupid, but any thoughts as to sleeping on the bag? i mean, they show a fullsize chevy truck rolling on it, and im pretty sure i dont weigh that much.. was thinking also, about maybe builing a trailer for it... a 1/2 ton rear axle should be able to support 1000 lbs by itself... maybe ...

man, those things look awesome... i was gonna pay about $300 for a 60 hard plastic water tank, but for 1/3rd the price, i can get 110 gallons... hope they stand up to the playa, and everything else... did you have any problems with these, like leaks, or bad tasting water or anything?

LCN: That buttoning method you described is good. do they just screw into the metal, or do you weld them? i was thinking of making a frame to go on my pickup bed, then putting a cover on it when i get there, for a little extra "private" space if needed...

the structure in that photo is made of pvc, it looks like... while mine is not indestructable, it is made out of a heavier aluminum based metal, and hopefully with the way im planning on securing it, it will withstand pretty high winds without me needing to worry too much....

hmm... what if i rebuilt the frame with sturdier metal.. or maybe PVC? :\ trying to think ahead..

arent mre's kind of expensive? the one time i had them, about 10 years ago at boy scout camp, they werent that bad... plus you have all the stuff that comes in the pack... what a deal!
