Undercover cop?

On the way home I had an experience that has left me wondering if I was the unwitting victim of an undercover cop and wanted to see what you guys thought. We ended up bringing home a person that our close friends had met at the burn. Because we were going to the same place he needed to fly out of it...

I have to say that the BM world has definitely changed my partner for the better. She had a lot of religious baggage and while she had mostly been able to shrug most of it off, there were still things that left her up tight. She is very creative and felt very stifled in a world where creativity is n...

Not sure about Nevada, but in California it is legal as long as your vehicle is registered as an RV. I drive a Sportsmobile van which is registered as a class B motorhome. Seatbelts are there but are not required for passengers in the rear of the van and they are able to drink freely. A lot of peopl...

Oh man. The pic of the trike makes me sad. Even sadder that electric assist is allowed now. I scored a tandem side-by-side tricycle on craigslist for a good deal with a plan to convert it to electric assist. Got stolen out of my yard a short while later. Steel chain had been cut.

polyiso is the short technical name for the class of materials that thermax and tuff-r are a part of. Everything I have been reading about the stuff is that Thermax HD is almost impossible to find here.

Yup, ordered the tape tonight through fixtape.com. Getting the headstart now on buying all my supplies so its not a crunch when it comes down to buying everything. August will come sooner than I think. Also found a lead on the polyiso board here in So Cal. From what I have been reading its a bitch t...

Double Hexayurt?

Has anybody tried to attach two hexayurts together? What I am thinking is to basically have them right next to each other, but remove all or part of one wall and use that as pretty much a door between the two yurts. One area could be for sleeping, and the other for cooking and hanging out. Has anybo...

I am flying to Brazil in October and I booked my ticket out of Tijuana rather than San Diego for the simple reason of less hassle. Pretty sad that I have to drive to Mexico to find respect for even a modicum of human rights in an airport.

I was about to ask about burning wood in a firepit as I have a washer tub that makes an amazing contained pit and it has 4 welded on legs that keep it from tipping over. But then I thought... why the hell would I want to sit in my camp sitting around a fire with my friends? I think I would rather go...

How sturdy was the 2V dome with the 1" EMT? Is it sturdy enough to hang a hammock from? Sturdy enough for the wind?
